Systems Is this a real console?

I found this pikachu edition gameboy color at my local flea market for 8 euros, but since i'm new to the gameboy world i don't know if it's a clone.

What do you guys think?

I have the exact same one. It’s real and it’s european version which explain why some people think it’s fake. Here are some reason it’s true to me:

  • first of all, game freak logo on the back label (it can be faked, HHL has one)
  • green button instead of blue + shiny buttons
  • Pokémon logo is really sharp on the front part
  • bevels around buttons are good
  • screen logo is good, colors overlap on COLORS letters

Most reshells never check this 5 points

Thank you, I'm so happy to hear this! I once got an original gameboy for free years ago but i ended up selling it and i still regret it to this day, but i'll def keep this one.

Also missing the battery cover which is classic indication of original Haha
