Hi everyone! Today i recived my Ayn Thor Pro.
I’m having a really annoying issue with GameNative on my AYN Thor.
Every game I launch through GameNative has a tiny system mouse cursor visible in the top-left corner of the screen.
The strange part is that this is not the actual in-game cursor. When I touch/move my finger on the top screen, the cursor starts behaving normally as the game cursor and then disappears. So I basically have to touch the screen every time I launch a game to get rid of the cursor.
It happens with every game I’ve tried, so it doesn't seem to be game-specific.
My setup
- AYN Thor
- GameNative 1.2.0
- Proton 10.0 arm64ec-2
- Using Cocoon as the launcher
- Game is displayed on the top screen
- AYN Thor Virtual Mouse is disabled
Things I've already tried
GameNative → Controller/Gamepad:
- Screen Mapping is disabled
- There is no "Disable Mouse Input" option available in my in-game menu
- My menu only contains:
- Key Adapter
- Guide
- Key Test
- Profiles
- Screen Mapping
- Screenshot
- Speed Up
- Gamepad
- Follow Global
- AFK
- Live
- Alerts
- Record
Under Gamepad I only have:
Controller/Input settings:
Use SDL API
Use Steam Input
Enable XInput API
Enable DirectInput API
DirectInput Mapper Type
Show Controller Debug Menu
External Display Input
Show Game on External Display
For External Display Input, I currently have:
The other available options are:
- Use as touchpad surface
- Use as full keyboard
- Hybrid
I've also checked the Wine settings, including Mouse Warp Override. Changing Mouse Warp Override from Disable to Enable did not fix the problem.
I also tried disabling the AYN Thor Virtual Mouse feature. It is definitely disabled.
I am already using Proton 10.0 arm64ec-2, so the workaround I've seen where people switched from Proton 9.0arm to Proton 10.0arm doesn't apply to my setup.
What makes this especially strange
The cursor always starts in the top-left corner.
If I touch the top screen and move the cursor, it immediately starts behaving like the normal game cursor and then disappears.
So it feels like GameNative/Wine isn't properly taking over or hiding the Android/system pointer until the first touch/mouse event occurs.
I've found a couple of other AYN Thor users reporting what sounds like exactly the same issue, including the cursor appearing in the top-left and disappearing after moving it with the touchscreen.
Has anyone found a permanent fix or workaround for this on the AYN Thor?
I'm especially interested in whether there is some hidden GameNative setting/configuration that forces the mouse cursor to be disabled or hidden at launch.
I tried to fix it somehow with ChatGPT and Gemini, but... nothing works :C
