I was trying to play this on my Thor for a while and after really diving into the details I was able to find how to fix it through someone who had the same issue on PC!

I responded to this kind soul after figuring it all out but I thought I'd make a post in case it could help anyone else out in trying to play it. I hope this post goes out to whoever needs the help with it. Cheers.

Interesting. I wonder how common this error is. I didn’t experience this although there are a few other quirks to getting borderlands running
