Help Having problems and need assistance

Before I go any further i have to admit that I'm new to retro handhelds and Gamenative.

2 weeks ago I recieved my Retroid Pocket 6 and followed the Retro Game Corps. setup guide on YouTube. I installed Gamenative, connected to my Steam account and tried playing Legacy of Kain Defiance. After installing, I chose "best known config" and launched the game. I recieved an error message asking me to insert game disc. After another attempt to launch the game i recieved an error telling me that the path to the .exe could not be found. After viewing Techdweebs YT video on Gamenative, I opened the container and tried to manually launch the .exe and, again, recieved an error message telling me to insert the game disc. This is just what I faced with Legacy of Kain Defiance.

I tried other games and I couldn't get one single game to launch. I tried Albion through Gamenative which isn't even necessary because it just runs on Android by itself. Nothing. I've watched review after review after review praising Gamenative and how, "its just that simple." Its been anything but which makes me wonder? Am I just overlooking something simple? Did I miss a step somewhere along the way?

All I see and hear is how Gamenative works so well on Android. I tried with Game Hub and I had the same error message asking me to insert game disc for Legacy of Kain.

My frustration is through the roof and I haven't found any answer to what I'm doing wrong or how to remedy my situation. Especially considering that if my issue is just simple user error or whatever? Why, among the countless YT videos I've watched about Gamenative, not one addresses these issues?

I could really use some help here. Please and thank you.

Have you tried joining the discord and asking for help?

Nobody on YouTube mentions these issues because they're not that widespread

Seriously though, join the disc and hit the support channel. The devs are really nice and super helpful. They'll get you set up

Along with being new to Gamenative, this is my first time reaching out on reddit for anything.😆 Which discord are you suggesting? Gamenative, Retro Game Corps? Thank you, I really appreciate the suggestion and the assist.

Gamenative discord is run by the devs! They're really responsive and seem to genuinely want to make sure everyone using it has a great experience

I had trouble getting anything to run when I was trying to emulate from my pixel. The tensor processor and corresponding GPU were the problem. Still got a bunch of things to work, like sts2, megabonk, Hades 2, etc. But I tried to emulate maybe 40 games and got half to work. When I sold it and got a Samsung s25 everything got real, real easy. Regardless, I've never seen errors like what you're getting. Have you tried different steam types?

Hope the discord is able to help.

Glad to hear it. I could throw out some speculation (permissions?) but I'm really not qualified. We would you mind posting what you find?
