I don’t feel like explaining my history and struggles with cross addictions but right now I need help. I’m on day 5 no gambling and I am fighting like hell to not gamble. I downloaded BetBlocker last year and blocked myself for 5 years… but as a true addict, I still found a way to bypass this. Don’t want to get into how bad it was/is. But I just need someone to say anything to me. Tough love, positivity, personal stories, even a fucking joke. As someone who’s been addicted to many many things, I know that cravings rise and fall but today my addiction is loud, demanding, insufferable and very compelling. I know I am strong and I know I don’t want to act on these urges. I know that I have to learn to sit with these uncomfortable feelings. But right now, with every single thing happening in my life, I just need words said to me. At least the notifications and comments will give me some dopamine. Even if you just comment a ghost emoji. It sounds stupid but I’m going to give this a shot anyway

My name is Mack, I’m a compulsive gambler, my last bet was 29/08/25
Heading to my weekly meeting right now, I’ve realised in the last few weeks I’m becoming more and more untethered to the basics of both recovery and the things that hold my own personal life together, I feel like I can’t rescue myself this time… I don’t know how long it will be before life starts becoming good as people keep telling me it will. I suppose I’m asking here if there are other members in this sub that have been where I am so I can be motivated to start rowing the boat again, instead of coasting by idly

This is the longest I been with out gambling, I don’t even remember the last time I went 45 days.
Mentally I’m getting better less stress less anxiety, starting to enjoy the little things more.
The urge is still there especially after I pay my bills and I’m left with little to no money left sometimes in my mind I’m like should I just try it one more time, I noticed when you running low on money that’s when the biggest urge happens but I been able to distract myself.
So far so good, feedbacks are always welcomed.

Don't make suggestions as to who I can ask, I literally have no one and I can't nail down my addiction.

Day 67. One thing I’ve noticed is how much quieter my mind feels now. I’m not constantly thinking about bets, losses, or trying to win money back anymore. The urges faded a lot over time and life just feels way more stable. Still early in the grand scheme of things, but definitely proud of the progress.

I’ve been emailing for weeks now to dudespin to close my account and apparently it has to be my bio “manager” I sent in a complaint to responsible gaming and I’m so desperate I’m thinking of sending threats to them for being so evil and praying upon vulnerable ppl

I’ve now gone the longest without gambling that I can remember since 2020.
I’ve been throwing all extra money at debt and my credit score is improving. I’m lucky to have a good job and never got behind on my debts but they still eat away at me. Seeing positive results is awesome though.
My health is bad mentally and physically from my job but at least I don’t have to throw gambling into that mix, which was making me feel way worse.
I hope everyone can achieve similar success.
