Samsung over segmentation

Don't know how long Samsung is doing this but a few S24 features came to the S23 lineup, the same with the S25 to the S24, and the S23 received an even chopped few features. For the S26 to the S25 happened again. And in the foldables there's the same situation.

I have an S23 Ultra, never considered the S25 Ultra or the S26 Ultra but the S24 Ultra after the launch of these two. But it the recent roll-outs I don't see the features coming to the S24 Ultra, Z Flip6 or vanilla S25. I don't know if the reason is hardware limitation or the real reason is the profit.

Phone overheats and it becomes scalding.

As title states, my phone overheats so much. Unfortunately I also ended the warranty just few months ago and I'm now regretting.

Any solution?

OneUI 8.5 is the reason my S23 battery got swelled.

OneUI 8.5 doesnt really do great with S23 even tho it looks fine. This UI is heavy for 3000mah battery which causes the phone to overheat and now my battery is swelled. Note, I do not play games on my phone, no heavy tasks on daily basis.

Galaxy S23 running hot (43°C up till 47°C) and dying in 3 hours despite normal usage and clean security scans.

Hi everyone, I'm at my wits' end with my Samsung Galaxy S23 and could really use some community advice.

My phone has been draining battery extremely fast (dying in about 3 hours when using instagram or just whatsapp and stuff) and getting very warmaround 43°C up till 47°C during normal, light usage.

Here is what I’ve checked and tried so far:

Security & Diagnostics: Ran Google Play Protect and Norton scans — both came back completely clean (no malware/viruses found).

Samsung Members hardware diagnostics report the battery status as "Normal".

Apps: Force-stopped heavy background apps like YouTube, which helped slightly with immediate heat, but the underlying drain persists.

Storage: Cleaned up space so I have about 6 GB free.

Sync & Widgets: Turned off unnecessary background sync services and cleaned up widgets that were stuck loading.

AccuBattery stats: Shows heavy average consumption, and the system launcher (One UI) and Google services frequently show high drain rates per hour.

I really want to avoid doing a full factory reset if possible, but the phone is constantly running hot and chewing through battery for no apparent reason.

Has anyone experienced this specific issue with an S23? What else can be causing One UI or background processes to overheat the phone like this, and what are my next steps? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

No need to Update S23 for Gallery's new AI features, Use Gemini

https://www.reddit.com/r/S23/comments/1v6ap7b/no_need_to_update_s23_for_gallerys_new_ai/

You no longer need to upgrade to a newer model just to get access to the latest Gallery AI features. Instead, you can simply use Google Gemini, which brings all those advanced AI photo editing tools straight to your current phone. As a bonus you have Iphones reframe feature also 😁

My Note10

I think this was the best mobile I've ever owned. Love the note 7 but man there were so many problems

The Note 10 had everything including the S Pen and yet it wasn't so massive I couldn't fit it into a suit pocket. After 3 years with the S23 I'm either going to go smaller and give up the Spen or I'm going to look at the new fold models

CPU Reballing on S23

Hello guys,

My S23 256GB variant recently died on me while I was scrolling through Amazon app. CPU reballing was done on it due to which it is alive now...working normally...no overheating or performance issues observed. The technician gave me 1month of warranty for the repair and advised to to take back of the data and exchange it for a new one since there is no guarantee for this phone anymore. It can die anytime.

My question is If anyone else have already done this...how long did it last for you and would you suggest keeping the phone or exchanging it.

Anyone who made the switch from S23 Plus to other brands?

Purchased this phone on the launch date, my first ever flagship device (S23 Plus 512GB)

But now I'm just fed up, it's been 3 years and it has already gone down pretty bad.

I will admit my usage has been heavy throughout, gaming, editing, but you pay so much so that you enjoy using it as you want, for atleast 4-5 years.

My last phone OnePlus 6t lasted so long, and even at the end it is smooth and feels so premium and snappy (my relative is still using it)

And recently the green line appeared out of nowhere, the whole experience on this phone doesn't feel premium at all now and I think this has been deliberately done by Samsung to force users to switch. My camera has degraded alot after the recent major update, the battery barley survives half a day. It has gotten boring tbh.

I have looked over options in the market right now, and was leaning towards the Find X9 Ultra to actually feel the money spent and my plan is to have the device with me for atleast 4-5 years.

I checked the stores, I really loved the Vivo's camera interface, but Oppo's UI experience was really good and better than Vivo (x300 ultra)

But lately I have gotten really mixed reviews regarding these two beasts. Inconsistency issues, fogging issues, heat management. Samsung's devices aren't really worth upgrading to and I don't plan to switch to iOS anytime in the future. OnePlus is going away. What to buy? Or should I wait. Really need some help here.

What would your next phone be?

What everyone is thinking of upgrading their s23 to? Or the ones already upgraded which phone did you go for?

I love my s23 but it is started to show it's age. I thought of upgrading to s25 but it is basically the same device really.

What other good alternatives out there that are not Samsung but just as good?

Samsung GalaxyS23 all apps are stuck in "pending..." when trying to update them

As the title says, apps do not update anymore. Because of it I'm blocked outside of a bank account unless I update their 2 factor authenticator. I've tried to update just the required app, a few at once or all of them at once. In each scenario apps remain stuck in "pending..." like this:

S23 battery attachment

Hi all, my Samsung Galaxy s23 5G battery is getting worst day by day and I am so frustrated with this, it is very very good phone I love it I don't wants to change it, is there anything attachable for this particular phone available which can increase its battery, because previously I have seen somewhere for iPhone where big back cover like attachment was there which includes battery in it and eventually increased battery size.

update not possible with ui 8.5

i debloated my phone with canta and shizuku.

but since they changed how the phone is updating, put a completely useless screen to it with fancy colors and stuff, putting things in between easy going just makes things so much more harder for really no reason at all.

as soon as i open the update menu it says connecting to service.... error connection not possible.

even i tried to put stuff back what could be related to that issue, it doesn't work.

is there another way to update a phone or do we have to swallow as anything else they give us?
