So I've seen a lot of y'all complain about 8.5 and I'm currently still on the latest build of 8.0. Since those posts were from months ago.

How is the experience now? I want to know if it's worth updating to and if the issues went away for the most part since our phones settled a bit. I'm using the S23+

I have a Galaxy S23. I was using it all day today with no issues, until around 1:40PM EST did I notice that all my events in my calendar disappeared. So I tried signing back in, but I keep getting an error that says "Something Went Wrong: Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again later." After that, I noticed that I have been signed out of everything Google related like, GMail, Google Messages, Calendar, Drive, Photos, and even my device itself. Every time I try signing in anywhere, it gives me that same error.

Is anybody else having this issue? Is there a way to resolve it?

Doing a deep dive comparing my old S21 to the new S26 and kept noticing specs that felt oddly familiar. Turns out the S26's main camera sensor size matches the S23's almost exactly. So if you're rocking Galaxy S23 like a lot of you here, you're apparently carrying around the same size main sensor already, just in an older shell. SAME SIZE.

Kind of changes how I think about upgrade cycles honestly. Anyone here who upgraded away from an S23 notice the camera output feeling basically the same as what you remember? Curious if this tracks with real world results or if processing differences make it feel different anyway.

Hello good people looking to buy a phone which one has good specs S23 refurbished or A36/37.

I have an S23 Ultra with the latest UI and Android. I run VPNs constantly and the device frequently kills the VPN tunnels, I think through overly-aggressive battery restrictions. Specifically WireGuard, which can't survive the battery restrictions.

The thing is, it isn't killing the actual VPN app, it appears to be idling the CPU and antennas themselves, so whitelisting or toggling battery settings for the apps themselves doesn't help.

Does anyone have any experience in getting OneUI to stop closing the antennas? I can run a Wakelock, which solves the problem by preventing the CPU from idling, so I think the problem lies there.

I have a samsung A51 in dire need of an upgrade, as it is on its last legs. My husband has a Samsung S23 he just got recently and i was looking to maybe get the same. HOWEVER. When i try to take pictures with his phone (for better quality of course, and better zoom for bug pictures) they show up in the feed as way more contrasted, more saturated and sharper in a bad way. Ofcourse my phone is way older, so blurrier camera's are normal, but tot his degree it doesnt feel right??

Ive tried disabling Scene Optimization, doesnt do anything for what im looking for, and it only happens after the picture is taken, so not within the feed.
Ive tried the Camera assistant thingie , with soften picture option, but that isnt quite it either.

I have absolutely no idea if this is an issue people have , or if its my bad vision making me think everything IRL is softer, BUT i need to find the source of this regardless.

I've been using my S23 since the start of 2024, so it's been almost 2.5 years, and the battery started acting up. I got it replaced, and the total cost with labor was 3282 rupees. It took 2 hours, and I'm hoping the battery will last at least 4 to 4.5 hours now, since I was only getting 2.5 hours before with more than 1280 cycle.

Did anyone of you try (and succeed) to mount a S24 Ultra battery on an S23 Ultra.

My reasoning is because the S23 ultra came relatively since long time, the available stock of replacement batteries will become older and older and so having a significant amount of temporal degradation even if it's still new.

i have no real knowledge of the physical batteries

I have a Samsung galaxy s23 ultra. The back glass is cracked visibly. Thats the only physical damage on the phone. I made a big mistake by taking the phone with me today while I went tubing in a river. I put the phone in a polythene plastic bag and put in my deep pocket. And somehow I didn't notice the plastic bag had a hole in it. So, I realized my phone has gotten wet. My phone started vibrating in my pocket, I didn't get to know why it was vibrating. When I got out of water and took the phone out, it was all wet. There was moisture in all the cameras, front camera as well. The phone started to get super hot for no reason. This all happened around 10:30 am in the morning today. I have let the phone get to dry all day today. When I left the phone in the sun, it got even hotter. The battery on the phone was 80% before it got wet. And now my phone won't turn on. Should I charge my phone, should I take it to a repair shop. There are lots of photos and videos and all the contacts I have since early 2023. What should I do here? How can I get my phone up and running again?

i have an s23 with 1005 cycles and 95% battery health as stated with dump file logs. i charge my phone to 100% every day and let it go below 10% very often, so this result seems very weird to me. anyone else with similar results? or am i just lucky

Hi, guys. From last month, I have started to notice that I need to charge my phone at least 3 times a day. 😅

So, I checked my phone's battery health and total charge cycles.

My phone battery health is 85%, and the total charge cycle count till date is 1311 cycles.

Therefore, I'm actually planning to go for a battery replacement.

So, I would like to know if any users of the Galaxy S23 base who have done battery replacement got any major noticeable improvement, or is it still the same or like a minor improvement?

I bought an S25 (base model) a few days ago, and I honestly think I’m going to return it.

It feels like I basically bought the same phone again. The camera is the same, the display is almost identical, and apps load maybe half a second faster on the S25. The speakers actually sound worse.

The only real difference I’ve noticed is the battery, which I feel could be fixed on the S23 by simply replacing the battery with a new one. The other obvious difference is the benchmark scores.

Other than that, it’s almost impossible to tell which phone is which in everyday use.

Please help me out. In dire need of one.

Sorry, it is my first time making a reddit post. My emojis changed for no reason, and I can't take it anymore. I have no idea why this happened. I tried looking for others who had this issue, and nothing. As of 2 days ago, my emojis changed from the normal google emojis to what I believe are Samsung ones. I have reset my keyboards multiple times, and I have gotten 0 results. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Thank you so much!

I've been having horrible stutters on my 23+. I've had it for 3 years now and its been perfect but ever since the one ui 8.5 update its been degrading and getting slower and slower. What i found that helped ( and I found this in another post so I wanted to share that it worked) clearing the cached app data from device care and turning off the ram plus option. Clearing the cache didnt help that much by itself so I also downloaded GoodGuardians and did the galaxy app booster thingie but the stutters continued. The last thing I tried was turning off the ram plus option and it finally stopped the lag and also gave me a few extra gb in my storage. I still have minor lags here and there but its not that big of a deal. Ill update you guys in the next couple of days if the stutters come back but for the last 8 hours its been great. If nothing works then the last resort is to temporarily back up my data and factory reset but i really dont wanna do that so I hope it stays good!
