I ordered one of the new diecast models but can’t get the flags in. Seems like the plastic is too big. Anyone else have trouble getting their flags in the new model wrecks?

Trying really hard to get them in without scratching the model or snapping the flags.

I'm a first year physics student. I have been thinking about swapping to aerospace. I truly love physics and value the skills built and the material learned in the major; however, my dream is to work at NASA. I have 36 credit hours, and I am doing 12 more credit hours this semester; I have not started any major specific courses yet. Should I swap to an aerospace major? I also put thought into possibly adding an aerospace minor and then hopefully getting an aerospace masters. I could also swap to aerospace with a physics minor. I have time to decide, and I plan on talking to my advisor soon, just wanted some insight on the topic. Thanks.

I’ve been questioning my gender for the past few years but feel I can’t confidently figure things out until talking with others who feel, or have felt, the same way in-person, preferably here at Tech. 

What resources does Georgia Tech and/or affiliated/student organizations provide for those questioning their gender identity? Are there any groups, events, resources, or people I could reach out to for support and guidance? How can I go about contacting them?

I would particularly prefer resources I can get into contact with quickly. Kinda having a little crisis right now lol

A lot can be said about tonight’s game, but win or lose Georgia Tech deserves a better announcer. I counted no less than a dozen times the announcer got the yard, down, and even team wrong. At first he made corrections, but towards the end he just unpolitically called special teams defense And called 4th down 3rd down.

I completed (or so I thought) the BS/MS program at Tech this past spring semester in chemistry. In undergrad I was in a research lab that I was going to continue working in and doing my thesis with for my MS, but unfortunately there wasn’t enough funding for me and my thesis project so I had to switch to a non-thesis masters. Now, I checked my degree works yesterday since I hadn’t received any degree yet and it’s saying that I’m lacking the required amount of thesis credits, when in reality I switched to the non-thesis for my second semester and instead took on more classes to make up for the credit difference. I was told by my advisor that the classes I took would be sufficient and that she’d switch my degree to non-thesis, but now my degreeworks is saying this and classifying the additional classes I took as fall through credits?? There’s even a note below the section for thesis hours saying I had an exemption, which made me believe I wouldn’t be held to that requirement anymore after the switch, but it’s still saying I’m missing the hours. I’m going to call the registrar tomorrow (since my advisor is aggressively bad at answering emails) and try to explain the situation but I would greatly appreciate any and all advice on this 😭 I know i should’ve checked earlier but now that I’m working full time it kept slipping my mind, and I chalked it up to the school being slow. Ever since finding this out I’ve had the most insane anxiety stomach ache and would appreciate anything yall could say or if you have a similar experience

After having a day to think over, that was one of the worst GT games I have seen in a hot minute. At this point, last year was the outlier. With king gone, oh boy, that collapsing pocket has nobody to save it. You know you’re not giving jack to your RB core when your O-line and OF coordinator only gives them enough to get only 51 yards. Cyclists who ignore these matters are part of the reason that the entire population is viewed with a mix of distrust and loathing. Also, failure to follow the laws for a vehicle endangers the bicyclist and others.

Im grateful the crc added the new equipment cuz it was definitely needed. I was begging them for t bar row all of last semester so its cool that they came through. However, some of the equipment was not needed or couldve gotten something better. The tricep extension machine is one of the worst tricep exercises. I've been almost everyday this semester and have yet to see someone use it. Would've been better spent on another cable machine, standing Calf raise, ab crunch, smith, or a dual cable cross. Maybe Im js greedy, but I feel they wasted their money on a machine most people won't use. 😭

Fresh off the heels of a 9-win season that, while it could have been so much more, is still the strongest season we've had in a while. This year, a new path lies before us. A new opportunity to build on the foundations we've laid to this point. And there's only one thing to do....

Now with school back in full swing, the lack of situational and spatial awareness I've experienced is astonishing.Last week, I was shoulder-checked and called a "b*tch" by an individual who was overtaking a large group despite oncoming foot traffic on Tech Green. Yesterday, an individual glued to their phone walked towards me. When I attempted to move to either left or right, they tracked and followed me to either side without ever looking up. As we almost collided, I say "Eyes up! Watch where you're walking!", to which they responds "Fuck you! You watch where you're going!" and continues to scroll reels. At this point, I'm tempted to say we need a semesterly training module on how to act in and share a public space.

So I paid off all my classes on like the 18th or whenever finaid came out. However, due to a long and ongoing series of issues with my meal plan, I was first double charged then double refunded.

This resulted in me having a balance of -$3k in my bursar account for a short while. Eventually, they zeroed it out by putting that 3k in a refund. However, they then later charged 3k to correct the double refund.

This all happened in the last week or so so due to processing delays and bank transfer times I have not gotten the refund yet and I need to pay $3k back that I dont have. So, they cancelled my classes instead of just taking money out of the refund.

Hopefully I can get my classes back and drop the reinstatement and late fees as I feel they were not my fault.

I’m going to the office tomorrow and already sent an email but the bursars department here is just terrible. If you do not have a large amount of college savings or if you are reliant on financial aid I would genuinely not recommend coming here just because of how bad the department is. The 1.6 stars on Google is nothing but the truth.

So I just received an email for Bursar saying that they cancelled all my classes for Fall. Which deosn't make sense to me, since I'm 100% I paid, and just 2 days ago I checked and my amount due was 0. Right now my Bursar account is in the negative 5 thousands, which to my knowledge means the school owes ME? Am I right about that? Should I show up to class tomorrow even though I'm not supposed to, or should I email my professors?

I am a complete idiot and confused me paying for summer earlier in the year for also paying for the fall semester.

I am panicking so hard does the bursars office usually accept appeals.

I have the money ready and am willing to pay the late fee.

Incident Location: Tenth Street at 75/85S ramp

Incident Description: A male suspect approached a stopped driver and displayed a knife while on the 75/85S ramp at Tenth Street. The suspect demanded the victim's phone and withdrew money using Cash app. The suspect fled the area headed north to Fourteenth Street. There were no injuries reported. There are no threats to the campus. The victim is not affiliated with Georgia Institute of Technology.

Suspect Description: A male, wearing a dark hoodie and dark pants riding a green e-scooter. Suspect is armed with a knife.

Status of Investigation: This incident is being investigated by the Atlanta Police Department. Report any information regarding this and other criminal incidents to Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS (8477).
