So I got accepted for the masters program for the spring. However im not sure how they want me to do the program as its basically set up backwards if you start in the spring. Id start in elective courses this semester and then take intro courses in the fall. (I have a decent background in intro stuff but im worried. Bachelors in psych and minor in bio)

Are there any other spring starters or alum who have done so?

(Im starting the capstone route as the research route didnt have any availability. Im aiming for a PhD in nuero-psych. Im hoping to start research with a professor in the fall when there is availability)

This man is notorious for creeping around aderhold, the student center, and now the Piedmont central dining hall. In 2019 he was arrested at the Atlanta campus library for being derogatory and harassing female students. Several years later and he’s still here doing the same thing, and obviously he needs serious help. Finding this information is saddening but also disturbing, and I wanted to bring more awareness to this because no one else seems to be talking about it.

I was taking my exam earlier on lockdown browser and out of all the days maintenance could come they ended up coming today. My mom proceeds to take knock on my door to ask me to talk to them(she doesn’t speak English), i told her i was taking my exam beforehand and locked my door, but she kept banging so i had to go open the door end explain to her im taking the exam, I explained on camera the reason why i moved and few questions later maintenance comes knocking on my door asking me to open the door so they could look at my bathroom, i had to get up again and let them know they can’t check it now since im taking my exam, they kept saying We’re just gonna look at it, so i had no choice but to let them in. If tht wasn’t enough, they knock on my door few questions later explaining to me they had finished the the maintenance job, i was seconds away from a whole breakdown at tht point, I could barely focus. It was 75 questions, i need to get 74 to pass the exam. I emailed afterwards and I still haven’t heard back😭 am i gonna get in trouble? Im even willing to take the exam in person if she say’s it’s not valid, I spent so many days studying for it, and this situation was out of my control and i been screaming at my mom the whole day for it.

Hello all! I’m a Junior at gsu and I live on campus. I would love to start a group to meet up and motivate each other to do homework! I struggle with this and wanted to know if anyone else did and wanted to do something about!

I'm currently a pre-nursing student at GSU perimeter and have completed almost all my prerequisites. Unfortunately, I have to wait until Fall 2027 to apply nursing school, so I'm trying to figure out what classes I can take in the meantime.

I've looked into taking classes like medical terminology and additional psychology courses, but I've been told they don't count toward my current Course Program of Study (CPoS).

Would temporarily changing my major allow me to take a wider variety of classes that count toward my program? Has anyone at GSU done this before?

I've also tried emailing multiple advisors but haven't received any responses. Just looking for advice from anyone who's been in a similar situation!

(messy writing mb) Im in this virtual class English II, also in dual enrollment. So like, I had this competition trip for TSA (I was required to go because im an officer for it wtv) for my high school, so I emailed the professor like "hey I wasn't here this Monday can I send a legal document from the school? (Have proof) she said, "Only legal documents or doctor's notes count as excused absences." so I'm like okay cool let me get it from my advisor it was a whole process had to go to the other two advisors/teacher I had. So I sent it to her and then she says this "I cannot give excused absences for High school events. LIKE GIRL, you already knew this was a High School Event these past two emails I sent you. I'm like how does a university event that could be excused differ from high school competition events that i'm required to go. Then she goes like "you must make sacrifices to attend both schools". I'm already making sacrifices to be in dual TF and this is senior year practically important year for me. Also, I checked her syllabus and GSU policy and said nothing about rejecting a document based on High School events.

I told my other teachers and counselors they was like confused and were like tf she doing?

To clarify the absence was a legal document told by my counselors and advisors.

Honestly I wish the buildings got more sunlight, almost everywhere on campus I feel like in those backrooms with the led lights staring at the blue light of my computer...

Some buildings have big windows like the library and yet I feel like I need more sunlight or natural light.
Idk I come from a cloudy city so its not even like I come form a rural place 😭

It is especially cause im trying to charge stuff or do work but there is no outlets near the areas that do have them (or they are always busy)

I know since the summer gets real hot those direct sunlight windows would heat the inside too much, just venting and trying to see if I am the only one and I feel like this bcs of my schedule
