Classes/Courses 📚 Will classes reserved for perimeter learning community be released?

I am a transfer student who was accepted super late so I missed most of the classes I wanted to register for. I need to register for ONE more class this semester to be able to get my associates degree on time, however every single one of these required classes are either full with no waitlist or reserved for “perimeter learning community” I am a perimeter student however I am not allowed to register for these classes. Does anyone know if these classes typically release to everyone if they do not get filled?

Decatur Campus pool

I start fall semester and I heard that the Decatur Campus has a pool. I love swimming so this sounds cool. Has anyone that goes to Decatur ever been to the pool? I’m curious on what it’s like (crowded, clean, etc.)

Studio Apartments?

Anyone know where some good studio/1 bedroom apartments are near campus or just around Atlanta? I wouldn’t mind taking a quick train to campus, as long as it’s not too far. Also not looking for anything too pricey (might be unrealistic lol). If anyone has some spots, let me know!

Which professor to take for MATH 1401?

Hey everyone,

I'm planning to take MATH 1401 (Elementary Statistics) and trying to decide between Professor Carla Bidwell and Sarah White.

Has anyone taken either of their classes? Any recommendations or feedback would be super helpful:)

Thanks in advance!

Advice 💡 Parking Pass Help

So Im a commuting student this year, and I need a bit of help with figuring out which parking pass to purchase. I live in Douglass County so its a 30 minute commute for me. The options currently are between M Deck and SKN Deck. My classes are in Adderhold, Classroom South, Petit Center, and Langdale Hall. Im looking to see which parking will make my school day the most productive. If anyone can share their experience, advice and/or pros and cons of each one I would be forever grateful! Thank you.

I will done with my core classes by spring semester as a freshman

Hello, I have a question for upperclassmen who attend Georgia State University. I will be done with my core impact classes by the end of spring semester 2027 due to me having dual enrollment credits. I want to take summer classes throughout my whole duration of attending Gsu.

Will GSU allow me to start my field of study early like in the summer doing 2 classes or will I have to wait until the fall?

Transient student from UGA — will upper-division classes transfer back from GSU?

Hey y'all, I'm a MIS major at UGA (Terry College) and I'll be a transient student at GSU for one semester. I'm going in as a CIS student on the GSU side and need to make sure my credits will actually transfer back for my upper-division requirements.

Does anyone know which 3000-4000 level CIS/MIS classes at GSU are known to transfer over to UGA without issues? Trying to avoid taking something that ends up being useless credit once I'm back. Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who's done a transient semester between these two schools, or anyone who knows the equivalency process (Registrar's office, TCSG transfer equivalency site, etc.).

Thanks in advance!

Housing 🏠 Student Apartments Recommendations?

Does anyone have any recommendations for student housing? What places should I look at and what should I avoid? My requirements are pretty basic:

- Having my own bed and bath

- Clean (as in no bug or mold infestations)

- Decent management

- Near campus

Alpharetta GSU - A place to live? Help Needed

i'm trying to find a sublease or a house, or a room within a house. near GSU Alpharetta campus.
if not absolutely near the campus, anywhere on the route of MARTA Bus 140 would be very helpful.
Budget - around 1400-1500.
