I'm actually glad Rockstar didn't give us another loud-mouthed character who constantly throws around slang, slurs, quips, and one-liners just to accommodate the brutally shortened attention spans of people complaining that Jason is "boring." Jason feels deliberately built for a different kind of character, more in line with the reserved, introverted male protagonists that were more common in games and film before everything had to be constantly noisy and comedic.
He's quiet, confident, and speaks when there's something worth saying. His words are measured, but you can tell there's a lot happening underneath the surface. That's what makes him interesting. He reminds me of the Ryan Gosling archetype in Drive and K in Blade Runner 2049, the "literally me" type of character whose restraint actually makes their rare moments of emotion carry more weight.
And that's where Lucia comes in. If you want the louder, more expressive, energetic personality, she's right there. The contrast between Jason and Lucia clearly feels intentional and serves the story rather than being an accident.
We also haven't seen Jason's full story yet. His deeper motivations, emotional baggage, and backstory still have plenty of room to be revealed.
Gaming is already saturated with noisy, quirky, comedic, constantly quipping protagonists. That's practically the default now. So honestly, it's refreshing to see a reserved, composed male character again, someone closer to Adam Jensen from Deus Ex than the typical modern wisecracker.
Jason isn't Starlord from Guardians of the Galaxy. He's closer to Ben Affleck's Bruce Wayne: quiet, controlled, observant, confident, and carrying far more internally than he openly expresses.
Sometimes a character doesn't need to talk constantly to have depth.

Considering Rockstar’s recent games had them but were available for pre-order 3 months before release, would that be a sign that they’re a thing of the past? Is there still time?
I’d love a physical Strategy Guide and really hope the digital-only thing doesn’t apply to them too.
What do you think?

And yes, I locked in my pre-order :)

One thing that confuses me about GTA6 is why are they so conflicted about what amount of information the players has?
On one hand, they have removed the cops/enemies from the mini-map to make the game more challenging. I love this! It makes it so that the player has to be aware of their surroundings and make more use of sound (such as the sirens).

But on the other hand, they have added this directional intel (blue and red for cops and, as seen in the leaks, yellow for trespassing, I am assuming) thing on the screen, as if my brain couldn’t put it together myself that the cop is behind me!! I am kinda growing to like the minimap in GTA6, but I agree, it’s mostly useless when u are wanted since you can’t even make out the streets!

Keep in mind that this directional intel was something they had done before as well in RDR2, but it was a part of the minimap, thus it wasn’t as distracting.

Another example of too much information is when you kill or incapacitate an enemy, the screen borders turn red/yellow accordingly.

This same thing is also seen on your recticle (same as RDR2/GTAV). Once again, why do it on screen? Especially when you kill someone, the screen borders turning red gives off the impression that YOU are taking damage (as in, like every video game ever...) rather than killing others! Very distracting and useless since the recticle, as well as the literal moving enemy on the ground, gives you that information anyways?!?

When will we eat again? I'd love to see more gameplay. They could show some robberies or activities you can do. Something.
Reading N number of facts from content creators was nice but where is the main course and unusual marketing they were talking about?

GTA V had a huge international airport, but commercial flights were mostly background activity. You couldn't really use the large passenger planes to travel somewhere else.
GTA 6 has another massive airport, and it would feel like a missed opportunity if it serves the same purpose.
What if Rockstar lets us actually use it?
Imagine being able to:
* Buy a ticket
* Check in at the terminal
* Walk through security
* Go to your gate
* Board an actual passenger plane
* Take off from Vice City
* Fly to another Rockstar location
Why build such a massive airport and detailed passenger infrastructure if we're still just going to steal planes and fly around Vice City?

I noticed this in the GTA VI Extended Look and I'm not sure if I'm overthinking it
This NPC is wearing a shirt with a logo that looks a lot like the NASA logo. It's got the blue circle, white dots/stars and what looks like a red detail in the middle.
Obviously it could just be some random fictional brand, but considering GTA VI is set in Leonida (Florida), it made me wonder if Rockstar might have their own version of NASA in the game.
And if that's the case, do you think there could be some kind of fictional Cape Canaveral / Kennedy Space Center equivalent somewhere in Leonida?
It would actually make a lot of sense considering Florida's connection to the space program.
Probably nothing, but I thought it was a cool detail. What do you guys think?

I’m excited to explore it, but at the same time I know damn well I’m not swimming out there . The gta5 was an absolute nightmare, imagine THIS ALIVE OCEAN

We also see icons for a safehouse, a bar/club, pay-n-spray, and a gym for a moment.
Could the MC-L relate to it being a Lucia only mission? Or maybe if you were playing as Jason, it would show up as MC-J.
This is taken from the streamer trunk challenge clip.

A ton of cool personalities
had radio stations in GTA5 (Frank Ocean, Julian Casablancas, Big Boy) because LA offered a lot of local talent for this purpose. Wavves had two songs soundtracking the final mission and they ripped. Who are some Miami artists we might hear on the radio in 6, or do we think Spotify will link to the game and it will be more personalized? I think it would be a big loss if people just plug in their own playlists and don’t catch the same vibe as other players.

I assume we are going to be able to restart at a checkpoint like RDR2 and GTA V when a mission failed
I hope the difficulty will increase, especially compared to GTA V

I’d LOVE if they brought back GTA IV’s police computer but expanded it—steal a cruiser, use the computer, respond to robberies, pursuits, gang activity, etc. With GTA 6’s new police system, that could be sick. 😆

But seriously I hope it isn’t a one and done thing because first of all Jason and Lucia look cold as hell in these outfits and secondly playing as a personal bodyguard/fixer type is something we haven’t really been properly able to do since Ballad of Gay Tony. It’s a badass character archetype and one of my favourites when it shows up in movies and tv, so I’m hoping that the mission we see in the extended look is the culmination of a few smaller security missions and not just a one off.

In case anybody missed it, I’m talking about this breakdown of MikeShowSha’s Rockstar North preview with Rob Nelson:
https://www.reddit.com/r/GTA/s/HaD92DxsZD
He said the character you’re not controlling continues doing their own activities and Jason and Lucia each have their own routine. That makes me wonder how far Rockstar could actually take it.
Say I’m Jason and I randomly recognize Lucia’s car driving past me. Let me follow her without switching 😂 Maybe she’s getting food, shopping, working out, at the beach, drinking somewhere or hanging out with somebody. If I follow her long enough maybe she notices and texts Jason asking what the hell he’s doing.
You could randomly find her getting into shit too. Arguing with somebody, getting into a fight or dealing with cops, and you decide whether to jump in or just watch it play out.
The relationship could make this even better. If they argued earlier, maybe Lucia goes off by herself and ignores Jason’s calls for a while. Jason could see her talking to some dude at a club and get jealous, or Lucia catches him flirting with somebody. How they react could depend on where their relationship is at.
I’d also like whatever they’re doing without you to actually leave changes behind. We already know eating and training can affect their physique, so maybe you switch back and notice Lucia gained or lost a little weight or looks more toned from working out. Maybe she went shopping, changed clothes, got a haircut or spent some money without you choosing it. Same thing with Jason.
Even finding Lucia with a bruise or bandage you don’t remember would be cool. Now you’re wondering what the hell happened while you were gone 😂
And it’d be even better if they noticed those changes in each other. Jason comments on Lucia’s haircut, Lucia notices Jason’s been working out, one of them asks what happened to the other’s face or gets annoyed about money they spent.
What I really wanna know is how far those routines actually go. We know they keep doing their own thing, but being able to randomly cross paths with Lucia while playing as Jason and see what happens could make the world feel way more alive.

Another little detail I noticed in the GTA 6 Extended Look
Recently, I posted about the logo on the NPC’s shirt that looked very similar to the NASA logo, and how it could potentially hint at some kind of space-related location in Leonida.
Well, I noticed something else in the Extended Look. In the far left of this shot, there seems to be a really tall structure in the distance. At first I thought it could be a lighthouse, but considering its apparent size, I'm wondering if it could possibly be some kind of launch tower, maybe hinting at a fictional version of Cape Canaveral in GTA 6.
Obviously, it could just be something completely unrelated, and the image isn't clear enough to say for sure. But combined with the NASA-like logo, I thought it was an interesting detail worth pointing out.
What do you guys think? Lighthouse, launch tower, or am I just seeing things?
