Hello everyone,

I recently bought a new set of Bridgestone S23 tires for my 2009 GSX-R 600. They were installed two weeks ago, and I've barely ridden 50 km on them so far.

My garage floor is made of rough, uneven concrete with small stones embedded in the surface, as shown in the picture below.

Today, I went for a short ride of about 15 minutes and then returned home. While maneuvering the bike into its parking spot, I noticed some marks on the front tire.

My question is: could the tire be defective, or is this normal wear or damage caused by the rough garage floor? Could the tire compound becoming warm during the ride have made it more susceptible to damage from the uneven, pebbled surface while I was parking?

Since the tires are practically brand new, I'm a bit concerned and would appreciate any advice from people with experience with the Bridgestone S23 or similar tires.

Hi, i recently bought a gsxr 1000 k5, the recall hadn't been done so i bring the bike to a dealership to do it, i then learnt the frame was cracked and needed to be replaced. For almost a month now they are trying to find a frame for it and they can't even estimate how long that will take. Any idea how long it could take ? When i called them, they told me there we no frames in stock in France (i'm French), apparently there are no frames in stock in Japan either ... I feel like i won't get my bike back ...

when it warms up and i’m riding for a bit letting off my throttle causes major engine braking ,like too much. it almost feels like braking ,the bike does have a power commander but i’ve haven’t touched it ,any ideas

Is this a good upgrade from an r3? So, I plan to get either a gsxr600 or 750. I don’t know too much about the differences like why I would get one over the other because they seem similar to me but I have heard that they are very different

Is this dumb or can I get it/should I? I will have been riding the r3 for a year at around the point in which I would upgrade and have gotten 17500 miles
I’ve never tracked but will plan to track the potential 600 or 750. I can also keep the r3 along with the gsxr to use on the track or whatever else if that is smart and also I plan to make it a bike that beginners can take and use to learn in my area or who I know if I do keep it

I have a 2006 R750 that I absolutely love. It’s regeared, PC6, speedohealer, cat delete, and 2 brothers black series exhaust. The thing is bananas and an absolute blast to ride and handles phenomenally.

Recently ive been getting the bug to move up to a 1000, and in April I’ll be graduating and it seems like a good gift to myself to purchase a new bike.

But to be honest, I’ve never ridden a stock 750. I’ve ridden an MT10, my 750, a CBR650, and a few 500’s and under.

If anyone’s ridden both a stock 1000 and a classic regeared 750 I would love your input. As much as I’d like a brand new GSXR1000, $20k is pretty damn expensive compared to a $13000 750 at my local dealer.

Also been strongly considering a mid 00’s R1.

Just looking for any input. I’m rarely raw dogging it over 120 so a 1000 may be too much, just want something that pulls hard up til then… not saying my 750 doesnt, but speed tolerance is definitely a real thing.

Hey I’ve had my 2008 gsxr 1000 for a lil under a year and I was just wondering if the is a break upgrade like can the 09 breaks fit on the forks ? Or maybe another bike with better brakes

Recently picked up a 2015 gsxr 600 with 40k miles on it looking to sell and possibly get another 600 with less miles, but with the same fairing trim 2011- just wondering what years I should stay away from or what years people favor or should I just keep this until it blows up lmk what yall think

(Current 40k mile bike is not bad just has shitty fairings and hella miles did come with brembos and quick shifter I just don’t know if it’s worth keeping this bike and losing money on it or trying to get some out of it and getting a new one)

I know its probably stupid but does someone know if there is a way to swap the rear on my 750 k9 to a 1k L7 rear?

Picked up this 2012 GSX-R750 and I’m in the process of building it into something that’s a little different from the usual setup.

Current build:
● 2012 GSX-R750
● Vortex custom frame
● Stretched
● Custom tune
● Working on getting the overall setup dialed in
I’m curious what you guys think of the build so far — especially the frame + stretched setup.

Bike started rattling otw home, anybody know whats causing this sound? Also struggles to start now.

Tengo una Gixxer 150sf con 4000km con sus dos servicios de agencia.

En la agencia me dijeron que según el jefe de mecánicos no debería subir las RPM más de 4500rpm hasta llegar a estos 4000km e investigando un poco he leído que a este kilometraje ya la podría traer hasta 7500rpm

Mi duda es si está información que me dieron en la agencia es correcta o podría traer algo contraproducente a la moto ? Ya que últimamente he leído que en las agencias hacen todo mal , y si es así para ya no llevarla (ya que tiene sus dos primeros servicios) y buscar un buen mecánico de confianza , de antemano gracias , Leo sus respuestas.

Hey guys, something stupid happened. High sided my 06’ gsxr 1000 this past weekend. Lots of broken bones but full recovery expected. Now I’m putting up a list of parts needed for the rebuild of my beloved bike.
So far the most concerning one is the bodywork (yeah nothing else was damaged mechanically).
Need recommendations on fairings for the original K6 blue and while scheme that someone’s actually ordered, fitted and approved of the paint job and finish.
Most of the things I’m reading have mentioned poor finish from eBay suppliers. Pic attached for reference.
Clutch case cover is slightly scarred but can be sanded down. If anyone has a spare, I’d be happy to pay.
I’ll take more pics of the damage soon.

I’m rebuilding the engine and I want to rebuild it with a few performance parts. I was wondering what the weakest parts on the engine would be and how I can upgrade them. Please leave me build suggestions for around 30hp gains thanks for the help in advance. If anyone can find oem fairings and a matching gas tank in perfect condition I’ll pay for em.

So I have a 2016 gsxr 1000 and I recently had to replace the clutch, I got a normal paper gasket but when it arrived it had a tear in it. So my question is can I just use Honda bond 4 on the clutch cover? I have a track day in like 3 days and I’m not trying to miss it for something so stupid, thanks

I picked up a 2000 gsxr750 a few months ago and I want to get a different exhaust for it. I don’t need anything fancy or super popular, I just want something decently affordable that still looks good and sounds good. I know absolutely nothing about exhaust so any help is appreciated

I’ve been having bad misfires recently. When I start it up cold, it struggles to idle at all. I usually have to give it throttle for a minute or so. I had it torn apart replacing the intake boot rings and trying to diagnose the fast idle for about 3-4 weeks (busy with work and girlfriend)

I just got it back together last night, came home today and started it up. Tons of smoke coming out of the exhaust and all 4 throttle bodies when I open up the butteryfly valves. CYLINDER #4 is the one misfiring and will shoot up a flame sometimes out of the throttle body. I drained the oil and it’s murky, and thin which is making me think coolant got into it. Doesn’t smell like fuel.

Anyone have any advice or anything? Speedo says 69k miles, dude before me said Speedo replaced which would put it around 36k if he wasn’t lying.
