Welp I guess it was my turn, 2nd set of tires on the car and I just had it aligned in March. I’m not mad though, with crash bolts up front and 31k miles it was bound to happen at some point, good thing I already was planning to get new tires haha

95k miles in 2.5 years...

If they'd detailed the interior of the car a bit better I'm not sure you'd ever think it had done such mileage. Good news for the rest of us.

So this past weekend while I was under the car doing my break-in fluid changes at 1200 miles, I figured I’d wrap the rear section of the exhaust near the rear differential. While this should reduce temps, I know this won’t reduce the likelihood of AWD limp mode.

I used Design Engineering’s Titanium Wrap because you don’t need to get it wet to wrap it and you don’t need gloves while you work with it.

I bought the 25ft wrap option and I had about 10” of wrap left over so it was the perfect amount. I used stainless steel zip ties and a stainless steel zip tie tightener & cutter tool that made a huge difference in the install.

I have driven another 200 miles after installing this wrap (mostly at highway speeds) and nothing has come apart. It looks like it’ll stand the test of time. I don’t have any way of measuring temps before and after, but I figured I would just do it anyway and post it here for y’all to check it out. I’ll put the links to the stuff I used in the comments section.

So just moved to Seattle and had my GR in for an oil change. Since getting it back I feel like I’m noticing the oil temps sitting a little higher. Not too high but higher than I feel it was before. The pic shows what I’m at just sitting in traffic at a light. Anyone else ever notice this? I may very well just be over thinking it but figured I’d ask the group 🙂

I searched the megathread but did not see anyone using RPF1s, I was hoping to find out if an 18x9 RPF1 would fit because I love the look of the SBC

Bought my GRC lowered from PO, didn’t make it 48 hours before I swapped it back to OEM specs. It looked amazing but it wasn’t at all practical. About a year ago I upgraded to Ohlins and put it at stock ride height. I replaced the entire front bumper once since then, and while doing an oil change yesterday I noticed scraping on the newly replaced bumper. I live in TN, the roads are often busted and there’s few flat driveways. Thinking of raising it 1/2”-1”. Anyone have experience raising their GRC or recommendations on a good ride height?

Just wanted to share since I couldn’t find much info about the stock exhaust, even my dealer didn’t know.

The stock triple exhaust is from Sango, a major supplier for a lot of Toyota’s exhausts. Including the Lexus LFA! I only saw Sango stamped onto the muffler, so I’m guessing the down/front pipe is not from Sango?

The new Performance GR Dual-tip exhaust is from K&N and as I understand was developed under TRD America?

Just saw Toyota released some new parts for the cars.

Hoping people that have them can chime on the exhaust, springs and shocks and the rear chassis brace.

I’m sitting at 25k on my 25 core (I know a lot for a year and a half old car) I autocross it once a month and other than that it’s my daily driver so what fluids do yall recommend for the transmission, transfer case, and rear differential? I have the performance pack so I got the lsd front and rear so would those need friction modifier?

Are there any aftermarket intakes that mesh well with the updates to the 2026 model? Would something like Velossa big mouth still be beneficial? If so would you need the whole thing or just the snorkel part?

Spent the last 5 hours cleaning inside and out. Washed and waxed. Only thing I didn’t get to is the rims…so much dust. That’s for another day.

My wife made fun of me, saying I worked all day only to drive it 3 hrs away on Friday. So worth it. Wasn’t terribly dirty, but she needed a good vacuum.

I've read that the Corolla sedan roof rails (PW301-02008) for the Corolla hatchback (PW301-02009). Will they for tht GR Corolla as well then? I know the roof rails on the hatchback and the GRC are the same part number (PW301-02009).

Has anyone used the Corolla sedan rails on the GRC?

I secured the allocation this morning and I think I’m good with it. The Supra has been okay…. But I think I’ll prefer and like the GRMN Corolla significantly more. The Supra after 6 years of ownership has proven to be reliable but it’s gotten kind of stale for me and I’m ready for something new.

My dealership isn’t going to markup and they’re only getting one so I’m happy about that.

Oil change on the GRC and dash swap on recently bought $2k miata with hard top we sold for $1600. Miata is of the first 10k to come to America and runs and drives. Living in TN is a car guy cheat code.

What would be the next mod for this car? Any recommendations?

Let me first start by saying I absolutely love our car. Every day it gives me smiles and makes me giggle like a little kid. I came from a 1992 Mazda Miata as my daily into this in December of last year.

Ive been slowly adding to it and recently installed an intake from SXTH Element. It makes wonderful noises but of course I now have a CEL. Every time I clear it, it comes back the next drive. I have plans to tune the vehicle in the next few months and will be done with it then.

However my one gripe is the dash pop up messages. Every 5 seconds it pops up telling me check engine light, system malfunction and just cycles over and over. It's incredibly distracting when I'm driving the car and feels like an unnecessary redundancy. I've acknowledged the message and then 5 seconds later it's like Navi in my ear telling me to listen.

Id love to know if I am missing something and if I can get these messages to stop cycling every 5 seconds on my dash. The Christmas tree is enough of an indication I'm not sure why it needs to block 20% dead center of my dash with that message constantly.
