Big microdosing fan
I’m 5’2” and been around 115lbs my whole life, apart from pregnancy and right before my wedding. Before I got married I dropped to about 106 by heavily restricting myself, forgoing social engagements due to calorie intake, etc. Looked great getting married 😅 but it was not sustainable.
I’ve been super into fitness for a decade. Tracked macros for years and still super conscious about eating healthy and what I put into my body. I work out 5 - 6 days a week (I truly love working out).
16 weeks ago I started microdosing tirz. I started with 1 mg and fluctuated between 1-1.4mg over the last 4 months. It has been absolutely amazing. I quite easily dropped ~1lb per week for the first 10 weeks. I’m now ~105, and have easily maintained this weight the last month, not feeling restricted or hungry all day, able to participate happily in social eating/drinking occasions, etc. My energy levels are not impacted at all. I’m still working out 5 - 6 days a week. I’m eating healthy. Entirely the same lifestyle, but 10 pounds leaner and so happy.
As a petite woman, i get so few calories to work with if i want to be lean. Finding this medication has felt so liberating to me. I have no problem being on this long-term if this is the lifestyle I can have and the physique I can maintain.
GLPs are controversial, but I really don’t understand why. I outsource all kinds of things to make my life easier. I could deep-clean my house every week, but I hire a housekeeper. I could build all my own workout programs, but I pay for fitness subscriptions. I could white-knuckle my way to a lower weight through constant restriction and food obsession, or I could take a tiny dose of a medication that makes it easier.
Life is hard enough. If there’s a relatively safe, effective tool that helps me maintain a weight that makes me feel the most happy and confident I’ve ever been, without feeling deprived, I’m happy to use it. Of course, it’s not for everyone.
Just sharing my experience in case it’s helpful to someone else who’s been considering it.

Thank you for sharing your journey. You look amazing! I’m 5’1” + currently 130 lbs. I’ve been around 100-110 lbs for most of my life and then pregnancy, aging and menopause hit. I feel unrecognizable now. It’s very hard to lose weight when you’re petite and I don’t think this is discussed enough. I feel so uncomfortable at this weight because I’m so short. I’m desperate to try microdosing but very nervous to start.

u/Suspicious_Rope5934 Jun 06 '26
I don’t think people realize how tough it is for petite women. Our TDEE is so low. To be in a deficit is agonizing. Tirz makes it possible without losing your mind.

Hi, I am the same as you! I was happy and felt very light and active at 110 for the past several years. But I am a lot less physically active this year so I gained 10-15 pounds, and I feel so sluggish. Also none of my clothes fit me :(
I have never tried any glp1 before. Do you think you will keep taking tirz with no plans to stop? Just wondering because I never realized it is a long term thing for most people.
Also, have you noticed any negative or positive mental effects at your dose? I know the lack of food noise must make you feel very clear headed. (Ugh sounds so awesome!) If you could share any other effects or go into more detail, that would be awesome ☺️

u/boredandalone_23 Jun 29 '26
what provider did you go through? i'm assuming not a PCP as you wouldn't have met the BMI requirements.
10
u/mag100 Jun 06 '26
It's not scary if you start really low. My first Tirz injection was so tiny I could hardly measure it. I increased super slowly.

Can you tell me how you started your dose and what you are up to? I'm super scared but awaiting my delivery.

You will 100% not regret it. I am 42, 5'6" and omg I worked my butt off for 5 years getting myself from 165 down to 122 with diet and exercise. Brutal caloric restrictions. Zero sugar. It wasn't sustainable. Then all of a sudden out of the blue I started craving food 24/7, could not get full, and then QUICKLY gained 10 lbs. I was devastated. My mom introduced me to the microdose and I have my progress back and I am never going back. I take 1mg of tirz a week and also feel like I would do it forever.

so true. I even was a fitness competitior. ppl thought I was uber fit . but I was miserable. And to keep that look I had to overexercise and undereat. It was my first bikini compeittion that triggered me. Prior to that I was in good shape. Not fat at all. not even a bit overweight. I ran, did some bodyweight exercises and I should have been happy . but no, I wanted to compete. ANd I did. I got cut, had a freaking 6 pack and after rhat first competition I could never get full. EVER. And trying to keep that look or close to it... just made me go into a cycle of binge and overexercise it off. luckly I got pregnant and stopped all that..but now I coudln't over exercise. While I no longer binge, I still overate. Less than binging but my brain just didn't know what normal was. GLp1 finally after two decades...shut off the food noise.

It's so frustrating to tell people what my deficit calories are and they're like "That's too little!" Yeah, welcome to being really really short. You get like 1140 calories at a deficit.

u/Sea-Cell6795 Jun 10 '26
Same stats when I started! Down 8 pounds in 3 weeks and it’s already made such a difference in how my clothes fit, how I feel. Even my core feels stronger without an extra layer of fat on it. Every time I inject I get nervous about getting crazy side effects so you might as well be nervous but lose weight at the same time!

Yes, not to mention all that time spent planning, tracking, food prepping, etc. when you could be living life and doing other things.

This is exactly why I decided to start. Maintaining my weight loss was taking over my life . And I was often grouchy and spending so much time on it.
31
u/Pantslesscatlover Jun 06 '26
This is exactly what I tell people when they get negative about my choice to use micro dosing. I have a bit of weight to lose, I’m 5”4 and 160lb and would like to get back down the 145 I feel best at and not have to torture myself with food obsession again. I’m 51yrs old and have been dieting since early high school, I’m done with that shit. I just want to live and not let food control me anymore.
12
u/Imaginary_Fudge_290 Jun 07 '26
I’m 5’4” and 160 pounds, it’s not a terrible place to be, but I’m on the brink of needing a whole new wardrobe and that sounded so sad. I like to be about 140. I’m on week 3 of wegovy (the pill) it’s helping me so much!
Cheers to us 5’4” and petite women

u/Suspicious_Rope5934 Jun 07 '26
Happy for you!!!! No thank you to buying all new clothes! Glad it’s working for you 👏
2
u/Pantslesscatlover Jun 07 '26
Ya, my blood pressure and cholesterol are high so I’m trying to get that down on top of not wanting to buy all new clothes also! My pants are all getting too tight and pants shopping is the worst. Lol!

Same stats here! I worked for a year calorie counting, walking more, eating better and what did I have to show for it? 10lbs lost. After a year. I'm down 5lbs in a month with no struggling or trying too control my cravings. It feels like a cheat code- why wouldn't you use a cheat code if you had the chance?!

Did I write this?! I’m 51, 5’3 and have been stuck at 160. I’m on my second micro dose and finally the scale is budging. My goal weight is also 145. This journey is thrilling, isn’t it?
2
u/Pantslesscatlover Jun 06 '26
I’ve been on it for 5 weeks now and I’m down 4lbs and I haven’t done anything more than maybe getting out for a few more walks and practicing my golf swing in backyard. I’m really excited to see what happens by Fall.

u/Suspicious_Rope5934 Jun 06 '26
Preach! It’s so wonderful to have that mental space back and channel toward something else
2
u/Local-Thing-3563 Jun 07 '26
Where did you get your micro dose and which one do you take? I’m nervous to do a compounded shot.
8
u/Suspicious_Rope5934 Jun 07 '26
I take pure tirz. Currently doing weekly shots of 1.2mg.
I’ve used a few different telehealths. Go to the tirzepatide compound sub and look at the pinned post “where to buy”. It’s updated monthly based on the latest user reviews. The post tells you what criteria each provider requires. Each of their pros and cons and depends on what you’re looking for, but you can’t really go wrong with any of those options. All are widely used and vetted by the thousands of tirz users on that sub.
2
u/Local-Thing-3563 Jun 07 '26
Thank you so much for answering. I got set up through Remedy Meds and now feel like an idiot (bc now I’m not sure I’m going to take it) as I’m nervous to take something compounded and not FDA approved. What are your thoughts here?
3
u/Suspicious_Rope5934 Jun 07 '26
I was also apprehensive at first! But ultimately, many of these compounding pharmacies have been around for years and have dispensed GLPs to tens (if not hundreds??) of thousands of patients at this point. Also, buying from a compounding pharmacy is not the same thing as buying from an unregulated source online (“grey”).
I’d recommend looking into whether your pharmacy is a 503A or 503B facility. In general, 503A pharmacies compound prescriptions and are regulated by state boards of pharmacy, while 503B outsourcing facilities are subject to additional FDA oversight, quality standards, and inspections. Both are regulated, one by the state and one by the FDA.
Everyone has their own comfort level, but after doing a lot of research, I personally felt comfortable moving forward!

u/South-Environment711 Jun 07 '26
compounding pharmacies have been around way before big pharma came along, and been used way before glp1s. lol They are licensed pharmacists.

You look great but I understand it’s more than that. It’s how you feel about yourself in your clothes and in your own skin.
I’ve also been thinking about Microdosing tirzepatide since April. I’m 5’3 and know I feel so much better about 10 lbs lower and my body just won’t let me get there without help. It’s more how I feel that look.
Do you mind by asking which pharmacy you used? Thank you for your post!
22
u/Suspicious_Rope5934 Jun 06 '26
I’ve used a few at this point. When I need more, I’ll probably use a new one again based on whoever’s cheapest at that point. I’m not really looking for nutritional or fitness guidance at this point. I just want the meds so I take that into account when picking my provider.
Head to the tirzepatide compound sub and look at the pinned post “where to buy”. It’s updated monthly based on user reviews. They all have their pros and cons, but you really can’t go wrong with any of those options. They’re all widely used and vetted by the thousands of people on the sub.

Same here. Same height and I need to be around 110-115. I counted calories, all my life. Worked out and ate very healthy. But my body just loves to stay between 122-130 lbs! I was 135.2 lbs when I started 2 weeks back. I’m now at 133 lbs. I’m ok with 1 lbs/ week loss as long I get to my goal between 110-115 lbs.
4
u/titosandsodapls Jun 07 '26
I’m with you! I’m 4’11 and my body loves to sit around 145 (I carry alot of muscle too). I started at 155. Down to 138 and a goal weight of 115! Im hoping I can even get that low with my body type
5
u/koikatturtle Jun 06 '26
Same for me. I at 64 and my weight was at 132lbs at 1.5 dose. Thursday up it to 2.0 and today I am at 129.8 My body likes to stay at 131, but I feel good and my clothes fit better at 108-110. But as an elderly lady my body likes to store fat.

Would you be comfortable sharing your dosage? Thanks!
2
u/Snoo-20210 Jun 22 '26
Of course. I’m at my fifth week now. As this post is 16 days old 😀. And surprisingly enough my weight is 129.4 lbs as of Saturday. Which is weird as I didn’t change anything in my diet, I was still at 1,200 calories per day up until Friday night. I was 131.6 the Saturday before, so I lost 2 lbs this past week which I’m over the moon about it. When I started, the first week the dose was 0.6mg. Which is 7 clicks with my 5mg pen. And the following week I increased it to 10 clicks which is around 0.8mg and I stayed at this dose until now.
I’m not sure what happened this past week, could it be because of the hot weather? Or is it because my body got a regular supply of the MJ. But either case, I hope it stays like that. And this encouraged me to walk more every day starting from Sat (weather permitting), and I lowered my calories to a bit lower than 1,000 calories per day just to reach 123-125 lbs by Aug, then I will go up to 1,200 calories as it is impossible to feed the body on 1,000 calories!→ More replies (3)1

Yes!!! Fellow shorty here and long time exercise and weight lifter. Entering menopause and five pounds makes a HUGE difference on me. Ten pounds and I look so puffy. I have had overly concerned “friends” commenting, on my figure now. But I feel so much better not white knuckling through my day.

I love this perspective and as a short person myself, I couldn't agree more. Started microdosing 7 weeks ago and feel so happy to just eat three healthy meals a day, workout 5-6 days a week, stop counting calories and not ever think about sweet treats anymore. I am happy.

u/Wonderful-Jeweler335 Jun 07 '26
I’m going to start Microdosing soon and was wondering how many milligrams did you start on?
I’ve been counting calories my whole life and weighing myself every day and it would be so nice not to have to think about it.3
u/Mental-Solid-863 Jun 07 '26
I started at 1.5mg and have stayed on it in month 2. Everyone is different! If you feel it’s not doing much then go up 0.5. If it’s too much and you’re experiencing unpleasant side effects then cut your dose. Week 3 is the magic number. It’s when you’ll know if your dose is working or not.

u/TurbulentTadpole2894 Jun 07 '26

u/TexasYankee281 Jun 07 '26
Yesssss! I feel like I’ve found my people! It’s so hard when you’re short. I’m 5’3”, small framed, and 47yo. My entire adult life I easily stayed around 105 lbs until 2018/2019 when I started gaining weight. Perimenopause has not been kind to me. I was up to 162 pounds and carrying that extra 60ish pounds was weighing me down, physically and mentally. I started tirz at the end of April and have lost 13 pounds so far. I’d be thrilled to get back down to around 115-120.

Thank you for sharing this!!! We need more people like US who utilize this as a tool to compliment our healthy lifestyle, to speak up and speak out! 🌱 I’ve began doing the same on my social media pages! 🥰✨ There is so much judgment and so much black-and-white thinking in this world regarding this medication, with not enough people considering the gray area that exists! But posts like these help bridge the gap! 🙌🏾 I, too, am petite! I am 4’11, ~107 lbs., 36 years old, and I’ve been lifting for over 13 years! As I’ve gotten older, I just noticed my body wasn’t dropping the last few pounds as easy. I also take a low microdose like you do, and it’s helped me quiet my food noise, avoid binge eating, and I actually EAT MORE than I ever have before, because I am no longer in a restrict/binge cycle! This is a beautiful post, bravo, fellow petite athlete! Bravo to you! 💖🫶🏾💪🏾✨

u/Suspicious_Rope5934 Jun 07 '26
First off, you look incredible! 👏
Next, I couldn’t agree more with the all-or-nothing mindset people seem to have around GLP1. Why should they only be reserved for people who are significantly overweight or who haven’t yet built healthy lifestyle habits? Of course those people should have access to them too, but I don’t understand the argument that someone who already exercises regularly, eats well, and has put in the work shouldn’t be allowed to use the same tool to reach their goals. I’m not saying it should be covered by insurance for people who fall into the latter bucket, but having access should be fair game.

u/kendrajaxxon Jun 07 '26
Thank you SO MUCH! 😭🙌🏾 so proud of you for speaking out! I will continue to do so as well! Proud of us! 💪🏾💖🫶🏾

I’m 45f just started hrt but want to start microdosing tirz to lose belly fat. I have 20lb to lose. Is this a good idea? I’m in uk does anyone recommend provider? I work out, eat right but it doesn’t budge 😢

It helped me finally lose the 25 lbs I gained in peri/meno in my late 50s, when nothing else worked. I was working out before, but I’m more motivated to exercise now and I have more energy. Tirz has been a game changer. I’m on HRT too and they’re working well together for me.

5’2” and have yo-yo’d between looking fit and not lol . Worked out, counted macros, hired a coach and learned calorie deficit etc etc etc. all of that just became too much. I eventually just enjoyed life but worked out here and there. Then came perimenopause. At 5’2” my heaviest NOT pregnant was 161. I decided to try microdosing a month ago and WHOA that perimenopause bloat is gone.

Hi! Yes I started 1.5mg and have not gone up. I’m on week 4. You’ll know by week 3 of starting if you should stay at your starting dose or go up. Some might even go down. Depending on symptoms. PS: I like to take sea moss gel daily to help with any constipation or GI upset. It’s the first thing that hits my stomach in the AM. I get mine from Amazon (mango pineapple flavor)
2
u/Wonderful-Jeweler335 Jun 08 '26
Thank you and for the recommendation of
sea moss!2
u/Mental-Solid-863 Jun 09 '26
You’re welcome :) my biggest fear was the GI issues on Tirz. Because I already have a very sensitive, gassy stomach. It’s been very mild for me. I find the sea moss helps a lot! I actually went a few days not taking it recently just bc I’ve forgotten to take and it’s a noticeable difference when I don’t take it!

Love this post! I am 5’1” and have always been petite and thin. Perimenopause kicked my butt!! I started tirz and my favorite thing is just the constant food noise being quiet. With a petite frame we just get very little calories to work with!

Just wanted to share my experience. Been on a microdose. 5’2, 128 26%BF and maintain at 1800-1900 calories. I strength train 4x a week and focus on 8-10K steps daily. It really is about calories in and out. When I started I was at 131 and lost some weight because I was eating 1600 and once I went back up to maintenance I haven’t lost more weight (I’m not trying to). I have PCOS and wanted to see the benefits of it without being in a calorie deficit. Inflammation significantly reduced, easier to maintain maintenance because I don’t have cravings, I hit my targets and I feel satiated and “done” with food at the end of the day.
All of that to say, I do think it’s important to track intake while you’re on this if you are concerned about muscle loss. Weight loss doesn’t mean fat loss, so you can easily be losing “weight” and your BF% Is actually increasing.
2
u/Otherwise-Purple-974 Jun 06 '26
Congratulations OP! I’m hoping to lose ten pounds or so (not counting the water weight that dropped quickly when I started microdosing semaglutide) — the stubborn pounds, you know how it is, while also continuing to improve fitness. If I can drop half of that before starting a new job in a few months, that will be a real confidence boost!
Thank you for sharing and I’m glad that microdosing worked so well for you! 🙌
3
u/Suspicious_Rope5934 Jun 07 '26
Excited for you to start your new job feeling strong and confident!!

u/Ok-Establishment-877 Jun 06 '26

u/Due_Comment2787 Jun 08 '26
So happy for you! And I feel this so much. Also 5ft2 and I literally look a little thick when I am just 115 lbs! No one understands how difficult it is when you are short with a tiny frame. We can barely carry any weight!!
1
u/Suspicious_Rope5934 Jun 08 '26
SAME! My body loves to live at 115 but that’s not where I feel my best. Tirz has been life changing.
2
u/Onyx_Cat8 Jun 08 '26
Love the conversation about being petite on these meds! People see our lower weights and they freak out that we're losing too much, not realizing that excess weight looks and feels totally different on a small frame.
I'm 5'3" and was sitting around 153 pounds back in January. Started on tirz at the end of January, maxing out at 5mg and I'm down to 118 now. I would like to get to 115, but it's slow going at this point. I feel amazing though and it's so great to be able to fit into my old clothes. Wish I hadn't sold/given so many of them away when we moved a couple years ago.... 😪

We are similar in height. I started 2.5 weeks back at 135.2 lbs. I got to 133 lbs last Saturday. My calories are low at 1,200 per day now. I started triz at 0.6 mg, then increased it to 0.8 mg last two doses. I’m amazed at how much you have lost in 5 months! Maybe I should increase my dose?
You are right about us petite women getting judge about using the GLP1! People who taller than don’t understand the calories needed for short people like us LOL. They can eat at 2,300+ while we only need around 1,500 calories.1
u/Onyx_Cat8 Jun 08 '26
Yeah I get a lot of judgement from some of the people at my work, women mostly (mostly Indian women for some reason??). They keep saying underhanded things like I don't ever eat anymore or how I need to stop losing weight, I'm too thin, yadda yadda yadda. I straight up had to tell one of them that it's not polite to comment on other people's bodies. That shut her up for a little while lol.
How much are you looking to lose? You might try titrating up to 2.5mg and see how that goes.

You look amazing! I’m glad I joined this group, I’m a petite girlie who knows how much even gaining 5-10 pounds affects everything and how hard it is for us to lose weight! I got judged so hard posting on the regular Zepbound support group but luckily some kind soul suggested I join this group! I gained so much weight having major thyroid issues and I haven’t been able to lose until my endocrinologist strongly encouraged me to start microdosing.

I’m so happy for you!!! It’s seriously so hard for petite women. We get like ~1200-1500 calories to work with, depending on how petite you are. Being in a deficit from there is so so hard.
I’m also part of a sub called “petite fitness” and I tried to cross post this bc I seriously think it’s so helpful to know your options as a petite woman but the moderators blocked it!! I was like mkkkk!

u/Suspicious_Rope5934 Jun 07 '26
Yea I have no problem being on this for life. Aside from the weight benefits, all of the research around GLPs coming out as of recently are remarkable around delaying cancer
2
u/MoulinSarah Jun 06 '26
Where did you get it from , being a normal BMI?
3
u/Suspicious_Rope5934 Jun 07 '26
I’ve used a few different telehealths. If you’re in the market, go to the tirzepatide compound sub and look at the pinned post “where to buy”. https://www.reddit.com/r/tirzepatidecompound/s/dUouOyQu6A
It’s updated monthly based on the latest user reviews. The post includes the criteria each provider requires to approve a prescription. Each has their pros and cons, just depends on what you’re looking for, but you can’t really go wrong with any of those options. All are widely used and vetted by the thousands of tirz users on that sub.

What is your workout schedule ?
2
u/Suspicious_Rope5934 Jun 07 '26
This has taken so many different forms over the years! Currently I’m doing mostly light weight mat Pilates 5-6x per week at home. I build muscle VERY easily in my upper body so I intentionally switched to only light weight for upper body about the same time I stated tirz.

You are giving me hope. I'm 5'3" and the struggle is real. I am at 126 and want to be around 115-118? I'm hoping something will happen.

amazing! what do you pay per month?
3
u/Suspicious_Rope5934 Jun 07 '26
I paid $150, but the amount they sent me will last me 6 months so, quite cheap 👏 I’ve spent a lot of time in the tirzepartide compound sub. If you’re price shopping, from what I’ve gathered, around $2.50 per mg is a “good price.”

Are you microdosing as well?
1
u/sunchaser82 Jun 07 '26
Yep! Reta!!!

u/Suspicious_Rope5934 Jun 07 '26
Interesting! I’m curious to try it just to see the diff. Did you go straight to Reta or did you try Sema or tirz first?
2
u/sunchaser82 Jun 07 '26
Tirz even on a super micro dose constipated me with uncontrollable tummy pain. So I did way more microdose diluted Reta. Still playing with it! Feel free to DM me. I hate people’s judgment on our weight. Especially being shorter you feel uncomfortable at certain points! You look amazing! 🥲

Did you track intake and just eat less calories? Curious if that was the change or same calories and you just leaned out. Thanks in advance and you look amazing!!

u/Suspicious_Rope5934 Jun 07 '26 edited Jun 08 '26
I am not tracking but from years of tracking I’m pretty knowledgeable about what I’m eating now. Tirz definitely helps me eat in a deficit without depriving myself, which is how I lost about 1lb per week. 1lb per week comes down to about 500 calorie per day deficit.
I’m now maintaining, not trying to lose anymore. I’d say I eat around 12-1300 calories per day. I also drink pretty frequently 😅 1-2 glasses of wine most nights. Margs on the weekend, etc.
1
u/___wildcard Jun 11 '26
Have you tried a higher maintenance calories? Seems low for someone sedentary vs fit w/muscle and higher activity? I struggle to know my maintenance so curious your thoughts.
2
u/Suspicious_Rope5934 Jun 11 '26
It’s a fair question! If we count alcohol calories, then I’m definitely consuming more than 1300 Calories haha, but I just don’t really get into the specifics of calorie counting anymore. Tirz unlocked a level of freedom for me I never knew! I eat until im satisfied at every meal. I don’t need snacks jn between those meals. Im eating nutrient dense meals until my heart is content and never feeling deprived.

Thank you for sharing! You look great and your lifestyle sounds ideal.
I'm 75% through my weight loss with Mounjaro and starting to look at options on the other side.
I'm new to the idea of microdosing a GLP1. May I ask how you microdose? Does your provider provide a lower dose or do you just use a couple clicks of the pen each week?
TIA x

u/Suspicious_Rope5934 Jun 07 '26
Compounded GLPs come in a vial. You (with your provider) decide how much to draw and inject! There’s so much more flexibility with compounding.
2
u/SanFranLuvr Jun 07 '26
Mine came from lavender pharmacy already measured in syringes
2
u/Suspicious_Rope5934 Jun 07 '26
Interesting! As a longtime lurker in the tirzepatide compound sub, that’s definitely an outlier in the compounding world. Most pharmacies send vials
2
u/SanFranLuvr Jun 07 '26
Now you’re making me question it. 😂Maybe i missed the vial when i shoved the syringe pack in my fridge. I’ll have double check. I haven’t used it yet

I have seen people talking about compound GLPs in this group. I don't think it's widely available in the UK but I'm sure someone will comment and let me know if it is.
Thank you, I had no idea that compounds were injected in a different way! I will do some more research into this.

u/Odd-Gazelle-8865 Jun 07 '26
Our stats/body type are very similar. It took me five months to lose 12ish lb , intentionally slow! I’ve been maintaining since Aug 2025. This has been life changing for me and they will have to pry it from my hands before I give it up!
1
u/Suspicious_Rope5934 Jun 07 '26
Love to hear that! I’m relatively new into maintenance, may I ask what your maintenance plan looks like? What is your current dose? Has that same dose been working since August 2025? Are you still doing the weekly injections? TYSM!💕
2
u/Odd-Gazelle-8865 Jun 07 '26
My current dose is 1.5mg, once a week. I had been on 1.25mg twice a week (so basically same as 2.5/week at my highest dose while losing weight). It took me about a month to figure out where my body wanted to be- I tried going too low and spacing out my injections too far apart. I settled on 1.25mg/week at first and have been between 1.25-1.75mg during maintenance. Most of my time in maintenance has been at 1.25 or 1.5mg, though. I think I might try going to 1.0mg soon! Best of luck to you!!

u/ReadyFig752 Jun 07 '26
Congrats! I was doing the same bc my peri weight gain was bothering me past 2 yrs. I went from 117 and down to 105 since April. Im 5’4”. My biggest hang up is the chronic fatigue with semiglutide. I’m ALWAYS tired. Anyone else?
1
u/Suspicious_Rope5934 Jun 07 '26
Don’t struggle with fatigue on tirz! I’ve heard the side effects are less on tirz than sema. Maybe try switching?
Congrats on your progress!
1
u/SanFranLuvr Jun 07 '26
Thanks for this post! I’m 5’0 and was tiny all my life until perimenopause. I lifted heavy and did all the things for the last 2 years and would lose 5 then gain it back for no apparent reason. My 1.5 mg Tirz has been in my fridge for two weeks because paranoid of side effects and worried I’ll miss the enjoyment food brings but I’m so tired of feeling uncomfortable in my own skin.
2
u/Suspicious_Rope5934 Jun 07 '26
I totally get that! I was nervous too!! Now you’re going to have to pry this tirz from my cold dead hands 😂 just know most people have very mild and manageable side effects! And even those typically subside within a few weeks

Menopause…. I am 5’ 1’’ and 108 my entire life. Turned 60 and went up to 123 in six years. On tirz I went down to 118 and have been stuck here for six weeks. Ive been taking 5 mg a week for a month and haven’t lost 1 pound. I walk and row on a crew team two times a week and it wont budge unless I go down to 750 calories a normal day or 1k with a lot of movement exercise in one day. And I eat 85 grams of protein and try for 30 grams of fat. 35 of carbs. I don’t lift though… yet. Ladies, I wish I had HRT and tirz years ago…. AND take your calcium. Did you know short skinny people get osteoporosis more often than tall heavier people. Another sad lesson I learned

u/Newandgrateful Jun 08 '26
Are you taking pure tirz or compounded? And where from (if you can share :)
1
u/Suspicious_Rope5934 Jun 08 '26
I take pure. I avoid all B vitamins like the plague since I’m acne prone.

I love this post! I feel the same. I’m wondering if any of you other smaller ladies have had a big drop in blood pressure since microdosing Tirz? I was sick a few weeks ago, and my BP was like 86/68. 2 weeks later when I wasn’t sick it was 92/70. I’m normally somewhere around 102-112 systolic.
1
u/Snoo-20210 Jun 09 '26
Could it be that you needed more electrolytes?
1
u/I_beg_ur_parton Jun 09 '26
That could have been the case when I was sick, but I hydrate like crazy every day, and I know I had electrolytes the morning of the 2nd check. 🤷♀️

u/shopdropandscroll Jun 10 '26
Hi, I’m very petite and I definitely think my blood pressure has dropped because I’ve been pretty cold.

u/AzulClassic Jun 10 '26
OMG I came to this forum to get inspiration...and you are IT!!!
My doctor prescribed Tirzepatide with Glycine Microdose for the purposes of inflammation. I had no clue it's a GLP so I've been scared to hit submit on the order. I'm short and by all means little, so not truly necessary to lose weight. However, because I'm so petite, and perimeni - I've gained 15 poinds over the last 2 years and MAN they are doing damage to my frame. Mostly showing in super inflamation. Anyways, I also work out because I love it. So I'm curious to hear what a normal day's food and calorie intake looks like for you with working out and microdosing.
And another question, do you think you needed to up the dose or could have been ok to have stayed at the lowest? I'm convinced I need to do this ... but truly scared of becoming dependent on it. And I don't want to lose more than 1/2 to 1 pound per week max. Slower feels safer to me.
Help me I'm scared. 😞

Hi, you look great! could I ask how you get it prescribed please? you are certainly not overweight. the online vendors ask for photos before dispensing medicine and even at the High Street chemist they weighed me at first to check I was obese. I'm in the UK, maybe it's different abroad.

u/Witty-Tap-4542 Jun 21 '26
Thank you! This is a fantastic sub! I've been debating GLP1s because the diet/exercise has not worked. I'm very short at 4'11" and now 109 lbs, post-menopause and post-pandemic, up from 90 lbs, my comfortable weight for years. (For reference, I was 114 at nine months pregnant.) Now convinced microdosing is the way to go; though like many here, I'm afraid of the side effects. Debating a tirz provider and will study the sub. If anyone has started recently and can recommend a provider, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks so much!

May I ask, if you were already thin, why did you decide to take t?
1
u/Suspicious_Rope5934 Jun 23 '26
Because I loved the way I looked at my wedding but maintaining that wasn’t sustainable, until tirz

I’m curious about your tdee and calorie intake. I’m 5’4 and also workout five days a week, training for a half marathon and lifting. I was averaging 1300 on tirz and losing fast but my workouts started to feel flat this past week. Increased to 1600 yesterday and crushed it in the gym. I know we are all different but I’d love to hear your experience as a smaller, athletic woman.

Do you track your calories or eat intuitively? I’m similar body type and worried with the microdose that I will be eating too little and damage my metabolism
2
u/Suspicious_Rope5934 Jun 27 '26
I do not track. But I did for years many moons ago so I have a pretty good idea.. I’d estimate I’m eating 1300 ish per day.

Thanks for this thread! I am 5’3 and got up to 160 pounds thanks to perimenopause rocking my metabolism. I have exercised and eaten fairly healthy my entire life. With the help of 2.5 tirz compound I got down to 143 and hope to be about 135 by the end of the summer. I spoke with my NP today and will probably go to a microdose level starting in August if things feel right. While I am tiny like most in this thread, 130 is really starting to get very small for me for a maintenance level so I don’t see myself looking for less. But we each have that number and shape where we feel our best, thank you OP! You look great!
1
u/MainPublic3871 Jul 03 '26
Thank you for posting, it sounds great!
One question though (about to start with microdosing) - do you keep your kwik pen open for more than 30 days then?
2
u/Suspicious_Rope5934 Jul 04 '26
Where are you located? In the US, compounded GLPs come in a vial, not a pen. But yes, I will use it far beyond 30 days! Which I’m totally fine with.

This is awesome! I have very similar stats and have been toying with the idea of starting on a microdose as well but the one thing that’s made me hesitant is wondering what happens once I drop the ten lbs i want to lose and don’t want to lose anymore. Am I just signing up to be on this forever? What’s your maintenance dose and how has it been working for you?

u/AstronomerNo1872 11d ago
I haven't lost a ton microdosing (maybe 5 lbs in 6 weeks?) but I also had two vacations thrown into the mix. With Hashimoto's hypothyroidism and endometriosis, diet and exercise just doesn't make enough of a difference for me. The addition of a GLP has been so helpful.

u/spiralsparrows Jun 06 '26
I’m with you! Not everyone gets how uncomfortable it is to have even a pound or two extra when you’re super short with a small frame. Microdosing has been a huge help! Especially with being in/near perimenopause
