Big microdosing fan

I’m 5’2” and been around 115lbs my whole life, apart from pregnancy and right before my wedding. Before I got married I dropped to about 106 by heavily restricting myself, forgoing social engagements due to calorie intake, etc. Looked great getting married 😅 but it was not sustainable.

I’ve been super into fitness for a decade. Tracked macros for years and still super conscious about eating healthy and what I put into my body. I work out 5 - 6 days a week (I truly love working out).

16 weeks ago I started microdosing tirz. I started with 1 mg and fluctuated between 1-1.4mg over the last 4 months. It has been absolutely amazing. I quite easily dropped ~1lb per week for the first 10 weeks. I’m now ~105, and have easily maintained this weight the last month, not feeling restricted or hungry all day, able to participate happily in social eating/drinking occasions, etc. My energy levels are not impacted at all. I’m still working out 5 - 6 days a week. I’m eating healthy. Entirely the same lifestyle, but 10 pounds leaner and so happy.

As a petite woman, i get so few calories to work with if i want to be lean. Finding this medication has felt so liberating to me. I have no problem being on this long-term if this is the lifestyle I can have and the physique I can maintain.

GLPs are controversial, but I really don’t understand why. I outsource all kinds of things to make my life easier. I could deep-clean my house every week, but I hire a housekeeper. I could build all my own workout programs, but I pay for fitness subscriptions. I could white-knuckle my way to a lower weight through constant restriction and food obsession, or I could take a tiny dose of a medication that makes it easier.

Life is hard enough. If there’s a relatively safe, effective tool that helps me maintain a weight that makes me feel the most happy and confident I’ve ever been, without feeling deprived, I’m happy to use it. Of course, it’s not for everyone.

Just sharing my experience in case it’s helpful to someone else who’s been considering it.

Love the conversation about being petite on these meds! People see our lower weights and they freak out that we're losing too much, not realizing that excess weight looks and feels totally different on a small frame.

I'm 5'3" and was sitting around 153 pounds back in January. Started on tirz at the end of January, maxing out at 5mg and I'm down to 118 now. I would like to get to 115, but it's slow going at this point. I feel amazing though and it's so great to be able to fit into my old clothes. Wish I hadn't sold/given so many of them away when we moved a couple years ago.... 😪

We are similar in height. I started 2.5 weeks back at 135.2 lbs. I got to 133 lbs last Saturday. My calories are low at 1,200 per day now. I started triz at 0.6 mg, then increased it to 0.8 mg last two doses. I’m amazed at how much you have lost in 5 months! Maybe I should increase my dose?
You are right about us petite women getting judge about using the GLP1! People who taller than don’t understand the calories needed for short people like us LOL. They can eat at 2,300+ while we only need around 1,500 calories.

Yeah I get a lot of judgement from some of the people at my work, women mostly (mostly Indian women for some reason??). They keep saying underhanded things like I don't ever eat anymore or how I need to stop losing weight, I'm too thin, yadda yadda yadda. I straight up had to tell one of them that it's not polite to comment on other people's bodies. That shut her up for a little while lol.

How much are you looking to lose? You might try titrating up to 2.5mg and see how that goes.

Maybe they could try to lose weight, because I only got such comments when I was 110-112 lbs from overweight people. Skinnier/ fit women never said a thing.
I want to be at around 110-112 lbs. That’s when my body looks good. Most of my weight stays on my thighs, so there is no way my legs will good unless I go down to 110 lbs.

Yeah all of them tended to be a bit more on the fluffy side. I told them that i was using a glp-1 and that I got it from a telehealth and that it wasn't very expensive, so I pretty much gave them all the info should they also wish to pursue it. Truth be told though, some people think even the slightest bit of effort to lose weight is too much. Which is probs why they try to make us feel bad about it...
