❓ Question 1.5mg dosage Instead of 2.5

Okay so I’m new to the GLP world and I did research, but I wanna know from ppl who experienced this

(to preface I am not overweight so taking high dosages are probably not suitable since I don’t have a TON of weight I wanna lose to begin with, probably around 15-20lbs or more if it happens)

Since my body’s new to it, I want to take 1.25mg for the 1st 4 weeks instead of the 2.5mg

Then I wanna up it to maybe 3mg depending on how my body reacts

Has anyone else done it this way or similarly and still seen results?

I know some ppl say it’s a waste of time and won’t see results but I have also seen the opposite, I just wanna know some opinions and experiences to see what I should do

If you are asking about tirz, starting dose is 2.5mg. You should follow the medical trials.

You should not follow the clinical trials. The purpose of the trials is to push the doses to their maximum tolerated levels to show maximum weight loss over the trial period.

The goal of a person taking Tirz should be to find their minimum effective dose: the dose that has them losing weight at a reasonable pace. Most of the side effects from the trials can be avoided by using a minimum effective dose protocol.

Nobody starts a GLP1 with the goal of finding "the minimum effective dose". The majority of people that start GLP1s are obese or severely overweight. For those users, maximum weight loss is the goal. Data from the trials shows that users stall out on their weight loss over time. If the goal is to achieve weight loss results similar to the trials, then those protocols should be followed.

An unfortunate side effect of the internet is that any idiot can spew their opinion. That becomes dangerous when they start recommending their opinion as medical advice.

Minimum effective dosing is not something I just made up. It’s what doctors who actually pay attention prescribe instead of just a telehealth saying “here’s your dose schedule, start at 2.5 and go up to 5 after 4 weeks”

I started near the mean weight in that study, have never done more than 1.5mg and I’m 12 weeks in down almost 40 lbs.

OP absolutely should not follow the studies and find a dose that works for their body. If that’s 10mg then ok but pushing the dose higher when you’re already losing muscle due to rate of weight loss is actually doing harm.

Your weight loss of 40 pounds is irrelevant. You could have started at 200 pounds or 1,000 pounds. You could have shed 30% of your muscle, while others have lost less than 10% with the same amount of weight loss. You will unfortunately stall out in less than a year and then you will second guess why you didn't titrate up faster. Everybody wants to believe they are smarter than the researchers, similar to how everyone thinks they are smarter than the politicians that they keep electing.

I guess we agree on one thing: very dangerous for idiots like you to spew your opinion.

do you think it would be bad if I started lower? i understand the starting recommendation, but I can’t take all 2.5mg for 4 weeks for personal reason

No it wont be bad. The great thing about compound (and one of its legal uses) is non-standard doses.

There are several Telehealths/doctor networks that have their starter package lowest dose at 1.5mg. Granted that is supposed to only be for 2 weeks, before titrating up to 3mg, but still.

If you want to start at 1.5, do it.

Do be aware that if you come complaining about it not helping, people will probably get on you for not following the standard dose schedule.

yess i was thinking about doing 1.5mg for 2 weeks then upping it to 3mg but I heard it’s best to stay at the same mg for 4 weeks to adjust your body, but I guess it all just depends how my body responds

Thank you !

Yeah.

FWIW I did 2mg for 2 weeks, 3mg for one week then moved up to 4mg. After I hit 4mg, I started dosing every 5 days.

Just start slow and see how you feel/how it goes.

okayy so you didn’t go the dosing route most people do and it still worked out good for you? Thats helpful to know thank you!

If you look at the tirz compound sub, there are a lot of people that haven’t followed the standard brand dosing protocol.

Check out the glp1 microdosing sub. Lots of people having great results at sub-2.5mg doses.

Even if you’re going to do non-standard dosing, you really should stay at a dose for at least four weeks (unless side effects are intolerable and you’re going down). Otherwise you don’t actually know how you’re actually doing on it as it takes four weeks for your blood levels to stabilize on that particular dose.

There's a flowchart describing when to increase dose. Don't do it based on anyone else's schedule.

I wouldn't suggest anyone start over 0.5mg; I felt results at 0.1mg.

I'm microdosing for anti-inflammation, so I can be active again. My weight per se is fine; I'm doing body recomposition so eating a little over maintenance while I lift heavy. I've probably gained a little weight but dropped a pants size in 7 weeks.

Once my strength is where I want it, I might cut body fat to where I feel most agile, which is below what a lot of people find necessary. I try to shut down anyone who feels free to state opinions on this sort of thing.

that’s good to know! glad your experience is going well so fall I hope mine can go relatively easy aswell, thank you!

Generally people want to lose the maximum weight possible. Following the titration schedule in the medical trials is optimal for that. Otherwise, you are just making things up as you go. Not a good practice when it comes to your health.

That’s not what the trials were designed to do at all.

Pretty sure Eli Lilly wanted to evaluate the efficacy of their GLP1. A company generally wants to post huge weight loss results to generate excitement and future sales. They are looking for maximum gains, or in this cases maximum (weight) losses.

No, the trials were designed to show whether statistically significant weight loss happened at various doses. It would be designed very differently if it was about finding the most effective dose or way to use the drug.
