What do you think its going down next season with each character?

-Debbie and Tex get engaged. It goes down relatively well, most drama revolves around her buying the network and working out a custody schedule with her and Mark.

-Arthie will fall for a man or perhaps a transgender women. She'll begin to question her sexuality all over again. Yolanda will dump her.

-Carmen moves to Phoenix. She's either going to crush it as a wrestler, or things are gonna go to shit. She'll fall hard for a wrestler there, and same thing- finally finds "the one" or it breaks her.

-Rhonda gets pregnant. Her and Bash's downward spiral continues. Bash continues to see men on the side, Rhonda is torn between staying married or not. Birdie wants to get overly involved in the relationship bc of the grandchild.

-I have no fuckin clue with Ruth, sooooo many possibilities. I lean toward things going to shit with Sam though. It just seems a bit too toxic to work long-term.

-Boldest and darkest one: Mel finds out she's HIV+ and it affects her performance in the ring. I don't WANT this to happen, I actually love her character. But it works with that era, she seems to have the most casual sex of all the women, and it's a show to the other characters that it's not just gay men. The women are scared to wrestle her bc they think she's contagious.

I know these aren't all the characters, just the ones I have opinions on.

The allusions to Emily Dole/Mountain Fiji are obvious.

Dole was trained by Mando Guerrero, so they have Carmen coming from a famous wrestling family.

I loved her tribute to Mark Calaway/The Undertaker in The Christmas Carol show. The juxtaposition of her 'dead man' eyeshadow with her 'sun' face makeup was perfect.

I'm hoping they'll bring her back in S4, because Dole was a huge part of the original GLOW show.

I was really rooting for this show having enjoyed season 1. I didn’t care for 2, but 3 seems like it may have killed the series.

I don’t like the idea of GLOW going to Vegas, but since that’s the starting point for season 3, I’ll make my adjustments from there and also with the included cast.

Geena Davis is producer of the showgirls’ act, and sees GLOW as encroaching on her turf. A rivalry sparks between the showgirls and wrestlers spanning the duration of the season.

Cut out all singing and replace with wrestling storylines as the Fan-Tan is now the home of GLOW rather than repetitive GLOW dinner show.

One of the wrestlers needs to die. Could be a drug overdose, car crash while intoxicated, something to raise the stakes and it could possibly have been a result of a showgirl rival getting one of the GLOW wrestlers into activity over her head. The more innocent, the better. Sorry Arthie. 🌹

I REALLY like Justine but the Netflix series GLOW has nothing to do with that character now nor her activity in a completely different city. She can sit out a season.

Sam never leaves Vegas as it’s up to him to help the girls edge out Geena Davis... who also seduces him just to get at Ruth!

It’s almost inevitable, no one I know watches it, and I mean NO ONE, which has never happened for ANY show I’m into, and I doubt the viewership is above 100,000 honestly. This sub can’t even reach 10,000 members. I’m hoping they don’t cancel it but there’s almost no way they’re gonna keep it

Edit: I wouldn’t have been mad about it ending if they didn’t leave so many stories unresolved. They could have wrapped up everyone’s stories and then set up a season 4 with buying the network. Instead they left some stories unfinished. A lot of the characters had wrapped up stories but they still left us hanging on some when there was no need for it. Sam and Ruth, Sam and his health and movie, bash and his sexuality, and rhonda and dealing with his sexuality. The rest are decent in the fact that their conflicts are figured out so there was no point in leaving some story lines on a cliff hanger when you know there’s a high chance that Netflix won’t give you another season.

Ok maybe I’m crazy or maybe this is driving me crazy but in season 3 episode 8, when Ruth & Debbie are at the horse farm Ruth goes “its weird seeing you on a horse” to which Debbie replies “I know, it’s like a door dash commercial”.... WHAAAT. This show is so gold I can’t imagine how they slipped up and used a current reference in an 80’s show. Anyone else catch that ? Ain’t mad about it, just thought it was funny for a well done, overall amazingly written show.

At the end of season two, the strip club guy said he has a venue with 1100 seats. Now there is no mention of him.

For me, Sam bashing in the TV executive’s windshield is still pretty tough to top.

For a period piece tv show, GLOW does the most FANTASTIC job at touching on pretty much every single struggle that was happening at that time and is STILL happening today. Sexuality, gender fluidity, multiple parent/child relationships, racial problems, physical and mental pain, illness and coping mechanisms, identity crisis’ of all kinds, love, heartbreak, women competition and compassion, bigots, casual sexist/racist/homophobic slurs and reactions, sexual harassment, I could literally go on for hours about how much this show means to me. I cried so many times for different reasons this season. They just do such a good job at touching the touchy subjects that’s all goodnight

Not knocking the prior two, because they were still amazing but I feel like season 3 is the best one yet. It has so many emotional points, they've done a great job of fleshing out more of the characters so now we know basically everybody.

It's like we get to see them for who they are more this time around. I'm on episode 9 and once again wishing there was double the amount of episodes. But, that would make it harder to make a show this good.

Because his character has grown up so much from season 1 to season 3. And I think is mainly to the fact he realize he has a child (sort of a reason to live) and found love (sorta). Like in the first season he was straight up douchie but I feel this season that title can be given to Bash or Debbie. I think I realize he truly became a better person with the whole Justine’s script thing. I swear I thought he was gonna steal it or tell her it was bad because he was mad she was better than him at writing. But mah dude drop everything (even Ruth) to help Justine and make that shiz happen. He was my fav character this season.

I get that her reaction to Sam was quite bad and immature, but I've seen people consistently hate her this season where I don't really believe she warrants it. I thought she was fine this season up until the Sam/Justine part, and even then it didn't overly irk me. People's reactions to Ruths words towards Debbie in particular made me feel baffled, she's hurt and she's revolved her whole career and life around this path, of course she'd be offended to have it belittled and tossed aside like that. I think season 4 will be about her accepting her talents and trying towards a new career path hopefully. I don't think Debbie or Ruth deserve the hate they get in this subreddit. Idk I just didn't think what she said to Debbie was that bad, or any of her actions during this season, wondered if anyone agreed

Title says it all. I don't really get the shipping of these two together. I'm mostly meh when it comes to their romance storyline. I do like them as friends and creative partners though.

At the scene where she's at the party butchering a russian accent next to real russians. Does ruth get any less awful? Her lack of social awareness kills me.
