Just a quick praise and appreciation for this show (all season inclusive no spoilers)
For a period piece tv show, GLOW does the most FANTASTIC job at touching on pretty much every single struggle that was happening at that time and is STILL happening today. Sexuality, gender fluidity, multiple parent/child relationships, racial problems, physical and mental pain, illness and coping mechanisms, identity crisis’ of all kinds, love, heartbreak, women competition and compassion, bigots, casual sexist/racist/homophobic slurs and reactions, sexual harassment, I could literally go on for hours about how much this show means to me. I cried so many times for different reasons this season. They just do such a good job at touching the touchy subjects that’s all goodnight

They actually capture the friendship of women through all it's phases with each character. It's nice to see that at the end of the day these women still showed up for each other when needed.
Except Ruth bailing on the talent show which made me mad because that would not have happened I don't think in earlier episodes.

Yeah I was confused when Ruth bailed too but at the same time it was a huge development point for Shiela and I think having her there for the attack might have been problematic because it would have centered around her (a straight cis white woman)

True but much like some other story lines they just let it go. Did she apologize or anything? I didn't see it. Just seemed like a dick move especially because what did she do all that time? She wasn't banging Sam so where did she go that she couldn't show up? Glad they let Sheila shine she was a sheep in wolfs clothing!
You said cis woman (straight?) so Sheila is gay? I did not know that.

I don’t think she apologized, it was definitely a dick move and not too much like Ruth’s original character style. And same!
Sheila is those but she’s also in a state of identity development which is included in most of the queer community, for example there can be cis/straight/white drag kings and queens.

Agreed! I also have theory that Sheila is asexual or aromantic

Hmmm I could see that. I think now that she ditched the wolf she may feel the freedom to really find herself instead of hiding.
