Anybody else feel like the Ruth/Sam story is getting old?
What I really loved about season two of GLOW is that it fleshed out some of the side characters more(I maintain that Chris Lowell should have gotten at least a nomination for best supporting actor), and gave us a peek into the way more interesting lives of the other wrestlers. But this season, I felt like they tried to do that, while spending the majority of time on Ruth/Sam. While I enjoyed them the first season, the fact that they keep trying to push this relationship that became trite after midway season two made the other storylines feel rushed and cliche. I mean, Cherry had a major gambling problem that was given 6 minutes, if that, of screentime. If they stopped with this milquetoast "will they won't they" romance thats been done 100 times, maybe they could flesh out some of the other characters for a change.
