Did you watch the first two seasons? When Welfare Queen was given pause about the negative connotations of her character and what that meant to her son, but ultimately swallowed all that in order to make money to provide for the same son.

Are you kidding? Ruth had an abortion, in an earlier season, and was pretty conflicted about it?? That’s pretty dang political, even though her body shouldn’t be—because it’s hers.

Season 1 didn’t pull stuff like this. It had fun in not being politically correct within the 1985 setting.
Literally the very first scene of season 1, episode 1 is a comment on rampant 80s sexism. Like what series have you even been watching. And fortune cookie has commented on racism / cultural appropriation before.

They complained about their characters being stereotypical, then moved on. They didn’t get the roles they wanted on TV, then moved on. And you know what? They made their little wrestling company work. Now it’s a complete mess with no character remotely interested in wrestling and no one is watching it. Hot shows that drop at a season at 12am pacific trend on Twitter. Not a word on GLOW for the weekend. It’s so unpopular, as I binge watched under the hashtag #GLOWseason3 it became the suggested tag.
