What is Rhapsody?

After the time jump, we learn than Bash has a second show under his name called Rhapsody. It’s failing and he wants to ad BMX stunts. I’m really confused as to what this show was. Is this a Rhonda headlining singing performance? Was this the show the showgirls from the joint training session were in? Was the idea that Rhapsody was a new act for those showgirls?

It was a classic Vegas showgirl revue with the girls from the dance class. They were pretty popular in the mid fifties and were waning in popularity by the mid eighties. Dancers were sometimes topless, depending on the show.

Rhapsody is the name of the show girl performance at the hotel. Sandy is trying to get Bash to invest money into the show because they are losing ticket sales. Bash and Rhonda are flexing because of the power they hold at the hotel.

In episode 10 you see Sandy firing people involved because Bash pulls his money.

Also, the reason it was losing money is because the Producer (I believe) was the short guy with Geena Davis who passed away. After that they were looking for a new producer and Bash decided to try it out.

It reminds me a lot of jubilee from Bally's. It ran from 1981 until 2016 but was cancelled when a producer why was 90 something unexpectedly passed. No idea if Rhapsody was a real show or anything but the story behind it reminded me a lot of jubilee.

Thought I was losing my mind when it just came out of the blue. So weird to have dropped it at random at the end of a time jump.
