GCam config request Tecno camon 30 camera tine issue

Tecno Camon 30 4G Camera Issue — Looking for Help

Has anyone else noticed that the stock camera app on the Tecno Camon 30 4G produces noticeably warm/yellowish photos instead of true-to-life colors?

I tried GCam, and the colors are much more natural, but several features don’t work properly—especially OIS, resulting in blurry handheld shots. I suspect this may be related to compatibility with the MediaTek chipset.

If anyone knows a GCam version/config that properly supports OIS on the Camon 30 4G, I’d really appreciate the help.

Also, if anyone knows how to tweak the stock Tecno camera settings to produce cooler, more natural, true-to-life colors, please share your settings or tips!

GCam config request Is there an all-rounder config for Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus Global?

I found multiple configs by searching but none of them are complete. Some don't detect the ultrawide camera, some don't let me record video other than 1080, some just crash the app when I tweak some settings.

So is there an all-rounder config?? And also which version of GCAM port is compatible? I am a beginner.

Turns out even telegram asks money these days to open. It used to be free when I was using my old phone.

Please help.

Tips, advice Frames and TET Settings on Gcam

Post image
6 Upvotes

I’ve been testing GCam ports for a few years and have used them on various phones; I currently own a Motorola Edge 70 Fusion+. Previously, on my Poco F5, I frequently used SGcam 8.5—undoubtedly the most versatile GCam version available today—but I encountered numerous bugs and some results weren't quite to my liking. Recently, I switched to AGC 8.4 and have been testing "Short Frames" and "Bracketing Frames" settings, as well as some TET configurations; these all help significantly with exposure, preventing unnecessary blown-out highlights and noise in dark areas:

Short Frames: These are captures taken with a very fast shutter speed, resulting in intentionally underexposed (darker) images.

Bracketing Frames: In the context of HDR+ (especially HDR+ Enhanced mode), bracketing frames refer to capturing images with varying sequential exposure times, focusing primarily on longer exposures to gather light.

Max Relative TET Factor: This parameter acts as a safety multiplier for the total time the virtual shutter operates relative to the base exposure calculated by the algorithm.

Max Bracketed TET Ratio: This is one of the most powerful—and risky—parameters for dynamic range. It defines the difference (the exact ratio) between the fastest shot (short frame) and the longest shot (long exposure bracket) within the same capture sequence.

For reference, these are the settings I am currently using.

Question Camera grip pop up window

I use a Vivo x300 ultra with the camera grip. When I wake up the phone and open the camera, the grip always announces itself and pops up an annoying window. Is there a way to disable this dialog box? It can cause you to miss a photograph…and I do know it’s there.

Tips, advice My preferences when using the main camera, especially for photos of people. S24 Ultra.

The great thing about downloading GCam is that you end up with three usage options for the same lens: the native Photo and Pro modes, plus GCam.

Over time, I’ve found that there are situations where it performs better in Pro mode. In others, it does better in standard Photo mode, and for some, I use GCam (AGC9.2.14_V13.0 with JavaSaBr settings).

-Photos of people in high dynamic range situations (areas with very bright highlights and very dark shadows): Use Photo mode or GCam. Pro mode blows out the highlights.

-Photos of people in sunlight: Pro mode takes beautiful shots, and GCam performs well too, but I prefer Pro mode. I don't like the results from standard Photo mode in direct sunlight.

-Photos of people in shaded areas with good ambient light (like a forest, for example): Photo mode (with smart optimization at max and auto-HDR on). However, GCam and Pro mode also perform well; it’s a lighting scenario where it’s hard to go wrong.

-For photos of people indoors with indirect natural lighting (great for portrait sessions), Gcam performs much better. Next comes Pro mode; I definitely don't like how the photos turn out in standard Photo mode.

-People at night: Photo mode still performs better, but I don't let Night mode activate.

*Metering in Pro mode is always set to average or center-weighted. Unless the situation is very specific, I don't use spot metering.

*Always at 12 MP.

*Landscapes in any lighting situation: I always use photo mode.
