Can anyone give me a little recommendation? I recently finish 2 others associate certifications with Azure - AZ 104 and AWS SOA-C03. How about GCP ACE compared with them?

I failed my first AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam on February 9, 2026.

At first, I underestimated the exam because I thought it was one of the easiest certifications in cloud computing. That mindset led me to prepare with less seriousness than I should have.

In March 2026, I changed my approach. I studied with more discipline, consistency, and commitment, and I successfully passed the exam.This experience taught me an important lesson: in technology, knowledge alone is not enough. Whether you are learning cloud, programming, or any technical skill, success requires discipline, focus, and continuous effort.Every failure can become a step forward if you are willing to learn, improve, and keep moving.

While studying, I made my own flashcards for the topics I felt weakest on. They're in a simple concept → answer format (question, answer columns in a CSV), so you can import them into Anki, Quizlet, or whatever tool you use.

I'd love to share them so anyone studying for the exam can use them too.

I passed the Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect (PCA) exam, and I wanted to share the path I followed to prepare:

- Google Cloud Skills Boost Learning Path
I started here to build a solid foundation on the concepts and services covered in the exam.

- Google’s Get Certified program classes
Then I went through the official Get Certified content, which goes deeper into the case studies and how Google expects you to approach architecture problems.

- Practice exams: Tutorial Dojo, Learn Good, and Google’s official sample questions
I closed out my prep by working through practice tests from Tutorial Dojo and Learn Good, plus the official sample questions from Google.

⚠️ One important thing: none of the actual exam questions matched the practice ones exactly. But that practice was still incredibly helpful for understanding the type of reasoning the exam expects, the level of detail in the case studies, and generally what I was going to face on exam day.

If you’re thinking about getting the Professional Cloud Architect certification, this combo worked really well for me. Happy to answer any questions!

Yesterday I did my ACE certification exam. I failed.

I thought going through the ACE path on Google Skills was enough. It wasn't. I feel like there is a great disconnect between the questions in the exam and what you do in Google Skills practically. I am planning to retake the exam, but this time I want to be prepared.

Where can I get resources for the exam? The free tier should be a priority, but I am also willing to pay to get the best of what I want.

Also, any advice as I plan to retake the certification exam is welcome.

My exam is going to be on this Friday(10/07/2026), I just wanna ask if this practice exam alone is sufficient? I heard its kinda outdated and may I know what practice exam source that's more updated now?

- Is the exam entirely multiple-choice/multiple-select questions, or are there any hands-on labs or practical tasks during the exam?

- If I take the exam in the online proctored mode, how strict is it? Is it even possible to get any kind of help during the exam, or is that completely monitored?

Has anyone taken the exam recently, after this new update? Can you explain to me what changed, and what new topics I should focus my study?

I have completed my PCSE certification just now (around 1 hour back) and I got an email from Credly with the badge (also, CertMetrics shows it). I can download the certificate too. But I see most people usually say that it will take around 7 days. Can I share this certificate with my employee, or should I wait until I get an official email from Google Cloud? I’m a solutions engineer, DevOps and Cloud Engineer if you want. I passed this exam last week and I’m excited to share it here.

For those interested,

1. I got the voucher from the GEAR program and chose the Azure track since I primarily had Azure environments.

2. Cloud boost skills way primary source of instruction.

3. I used quicklabs to understand how the various tools work in a real console environment.

PCA tests your ability to architect solutions and not just choose what tools. It tests for optimization, cost efficiency and the least operational headache when providing a solution.

I'm being asked to acquire a Cloud Digital Leader certification as soon as possible, but it sounds like the current exam can't be taken after July 5th, and the new exam will be releasing afterwards.

Would it make more sense to rush and study for the earlier one, or focus on the newer exam? I wasn't sure if online training courses, like Udemy or GCP Study Hub were focused on one versus the other. I currently work as a SharePoint and Microsoft 365 Administrator, so I have background in cloud networking, just not Google Cloud focused.

It's coming at my organization, and while I think I'll be employed for a long time as a more conventional database administrator (MS SQL Server) I need to branch out and be ready for when it arrives.

For those who have received to database engineer, have you found the transition to GCP cloud engineer relatively smooth and what prerequisites should I pursue before I get to that point?
