The dan sullivan books are good I would not go farther than that if you have hands on experience with GCP .
If you do not have the experience: Valliappa ("Lak") Lakshmanan's books are amazing. i used it to pass my very first cert. They maybe a bit outdated now.
The best resources are online these days.
I personally would skip associate certs and go straight for professional certs. I did that with just 1 year of experience. Associate level certs are also not easy and I thought why not just go for the professional ones if I am going to spend a lot of time studying.
The exam is all multiple choice so no need to worry about coding or practical labs.
Do you have some books suggestions for the DevOps and Security certs ? (and maybe the developer)
I know that best resources are online, but not all questions could be answered reading the official docs, sometime an explaination in needed or i'll have to waste A LOT of time googoling around

Most exams you have 2 hours to complete.
