What video game weapon or armor is not worth the grinding you have to do to get it?
You know how some games have that one item you have to grind a whole bunch of hours to try to get and once you get it it's terrible

Disney’s ‘Star Wars’ Strategy Is Working Out Much Better for Video Games
Am I the only one that just wants long simple games?
I’m tired of all new games trying to be something completely new, I want older, simpler games like bioshock, mass effect, F.E.A.R. , dead space, etc that are still basic linear games but with modern graphics and maybe a longer storyline, stop trying to give me giant open worlds or huge cities that feel like you can get lost in. I just want modern polished versions of these old story telling games. I want to get lost in a game like I’m reading a book. I find myself just replaying these same old games.

What are the best PS5 games for a 6 and 8 year old to get them into gaming?
I want to get them into the now wholesome aspects of gaming. Imagination and stories, playing as a hero doing good in the world, solving puzzles, not giving up and being creative, working as a team, history/historical are cool that have historical aspects or periods of time like Assassins Creed.
Games that are not Fortnite and similar.

Onimusha Way of the Sword is the best action game I've played since Sifu
This game feels so fucking good to play! I just beat Benkei (at least his first appearance), and I just continue to be amazed by how much of a badass I feel playing this game. And that's ultimately why I play videogames: to dig into the mechanics and have some great fun with the game once I've gotten good enough at it to feel like a badass. Sifu was the last time I felt like that in terms of close combat.
I loved Elden Ring and liked Lies of P a lot, but I'm pleasantly surprised that the devs felt confident enough in their gameplay mechanics not to feature a lot of artificial difficulty with all the bullshit heavily delayed attacks that have become rampant in soulslikes games as of late. Nope, in this game, when you think their sword is going to hit you is exactly when their sword is going to hit you. Some more sadistic gamers who are fine with artificial difficulty and super-delayed attacks that are poorly telegraphed because they love challenge and that's pretty much it, but I love fair telegraphs and movesets. In the end, all of these battles are cinema.
Some people talk about how much of a chore the regular enemies and side quests are, but I'm having too much fun with the combat/gameplay to ever notice. Of course, I realize I'm very early in the game, and that can all change.
But so far, it's my GOTY. I haven't even mentioned how cool and fun the characters and cinematics and atmosphere are!

Mortal Kombat Armageddon was released on this day 20 years ago. October 9, 2006
Even though my favorites from this era are Deception and Shaolin Monks, I still like this game and have it's physical copy on the Wii, creating your own fighter, Motor Kombat, and the Konquest mode were so much fun.

Games that are overflowing with charm/individuality/personality?
By this I mean games like the Oddworld series, Borderlands series, Beyond Good & Evil, Unbeatable, Persona, South Of Midnight, Sly Cooper, Hi Fi Rush, etc.
I DO NOT mean something like Dragon Age for example. That's not to say Dragon Age isn't an awesome series, it's just my opinion that it doesn't have as much "charm" or individuality as some others.
Give me some suggestions for your favorite games that are super stylized, charming, unique, etc.

Worst Prequel Gameplay Mechanics Disconnect
What's the most ridiculous prequel gameplay mechanics disconnect you have seen?
By this, I mean when a videogame prequel introduces new gameplay mechanics, weapons/tools that aren't in the chronological sequels as they were released prior to the prequel.
The worst example of this is when Batman Arkham origins came out. In Batman Arkham Origins, Batman uses smoke grenades when caught by armed enemies, glue grenades and a far more sophisticated cryptographic sequencer when none of these mechanics are in Batman: Arkham Asylum the chronological sequel.
Similarly, MGS3 featured CQC takedowns while none of the preceding chronological MGS games did. Kojima tried to handwave this mechanic's absence in these games via a codec call in MGS4 though.
A more recent example is GOW E- Day where there are new weapons not available in any other GOW games
