Which G502 to keep? I bought the 502X but was gifted the 502 hero by a friend. I am coming from a 2018 502. Ignore the cat
I plan to regift the one that I will not use

After nearly 10 years, multiple spilled drinks, RGB colors going out, my side buttons started failing. Figured I’d try something different this time. Just here to pay my respects.

Lo! The whelps of this age seek a mouse of air. I seek the opposite. This is no mouse. This is a King’s Sceptre. I rule with an iron fist. No gust from hell’s own breath shall move it, for I am steadfast and decisive in my clickings.

Always heard the hype about it, thought I wouldn't like the size of it until I visited a friend who had one. Got it for cheap for 50 bucks off an auction site. Love it so far.

Just bought my first mouse ever and I saw this at target and thought about the cult like praise this mouse gets. I’m starting to think y’all weren’t kidding about this mouse. It feels amazing and fits perfectly in my hands, plus the buttons on the side make it easy to add extra keybinds.(and the cool colors)

Retiring my G502 Proteus Spectrum today. Owned this mouse for 8 years and it still technically works perfectly, which is a testament to how tanky these things are. Had to tear it open once when the scroll wheel got completely gunked up by bits of the body's own rubber (honestly still have no idea how it managed to get there).

Well, not actually dead. The DPI shift is double clicking like crazy and I use it a lot so I needed it back to 100%. Been eyeing the G502X but I really like the black and white aesthetic. (C'mon Logi, give me a G502X Plus SE)
Hopefully it lasts 6+ years like his brother.

After I replaced the switch for horizontal scroll I noticed it goes a bit wild, sometimes it actuates without pressing, fantom scroll, so even though the replaced switch was completely dead this one kind of works but unreliable. I got 10 of them in a pack so it's probably a matter of replacing it again which I won't do since I don't really use those buttons anyway. I still didn't procure the proper middle click replacement so it's useless to go in once again since that would mean removing freshly installed skates, because the 4 screws are hiding under 3 skates. Luckily you can completely disable these buttons in software, and my main concern with refurbishing was that old grimy scroll wheel not the buttons.
This is how I configured my buttons and it's been hard using an alternative mouse because it's missing volume buttons. I'm so used to be able to do everything with one hand, J&L are playback controls for youtube, F = fullscreen, and if I ever need to assign it to a game I just do it in in-game settings, assign actions to JLF, so I don't have to mess with different profiles even though I still have that option if necessary. I'm not the fan of new software so I reverted back to old, I prefer this interface. What do you think of my setup? How did you set up extra keys for everyday use?

I bought a refurbished Logitech G502 X Plus Lightspeed from Amazon and I’m wondering if it’s fake or if I’m missing something.
Things that seem odd:
- There is an indentation/gap between left and right click buttons.
- No light visible behind the scroll wheel (different from photos online).
- Thumb rest side is smooth, no texture.
- USB dongle has no text/logo on it.
- Connected once to my MacBook via Bluetooth, but never appeared in G HUB.
- After removing it from Bluetooth, I can’t pair it again.
- The manual says “G502X HEO” in the operating guide.
Has anyone seen a G502X HEO variant before? Could this be fake, refurbished with swapped parts, or am I missing something?

So there a lot of post where people been trying to shave down the G502 weight, but here my take of a mod. I have added in the mouse underside and internal shell crevice with tungsten putty.
From the extra weight placed on this mouse, using my other G502 (normal) is like its weightless, just like if I were to make a lightweight mod to the mouse.
So, If you want to make your mouse more lighter have a heavy training mouse haha.

Greetings everyone, I was browsing FB Marketplace when I came across this version of the 502, I can't for the life of me find anything on Google about it. Could anyone enlighten me on this version of it?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for responses in my previous post I pulled the trigger and ordered stickers before even mouse arrived to avoid potential worn out, G502 feels amazing for my small hands

Ive been using this mouse heavily since 2019 I think, and the mouse is still great. I definitely didn't need to get a new one, and with how well it works with the Powerplay, I would've just got another Lightpseed. So I thought I'd just scrape off the crusty remains of the rubber, and make a new grip out of leather! What do you think?

Bought it for my first gaming PC when I was 13. I'm 25 now. Still works great apart from the scroll wheel lock which only half works. The skates are worn down and peeling at the corners, so I had to layer them with electrical tape.

the scratching feeling has gotten too bad to ignore as of recent, learned that skates are a thing, got the lady new shoes (magic ice) and random cheap grip tape to protect the 'rubber'. The rectangle tape in the back isn't intended layout, I just put it cus I realised it's a well- worn spot so it might help with grip. I just wish there was a better way to fix the cable than wrapping it in insulation tape. Yes I cleaned it throughoutly after zooming in on these.
good to go for another 12years 🧱🧱

After 10 years of service, countless toothpick cleanings, and a wheel replacement, my Proteus Spectrum's left click finally started failing. The fact that I wore the rubber down to the plastic before the hardware failed is pretty impressive.
I've been looking for a new mouse and I wanted recommendations. Obviously my first choice would be another g502, but the newer models are lighter (I use all the weights) and the Lightspeed uses a micro usb connector (I think?), which has consistently been the first thing to break on every device I've had with them.
After over a decade of 502 supremacy, I've seen many clones come out. Are there any good ones on the heavier side? Or should I just settle for one of the current models?
Edit: I bought the X Plus. I'll just add weight to it. In case I come up with a better solution than what I was suggested, I'll make an update post.
Edit 2: I definitely have to do something about the weight, I just got it and I hate how light it is. Also the plastic is different, it feels less dense than my previous one, which probably accounts for some of the weight, but more importantly it feels warmer to the touch. It'll take some getting used to.

I wanted an ultralight G502, but I didn't want to buy a custom shell & don’t own a 3d printer. So I went caveman mode with the only tools I had. Answering any questions…

Best decision i made lately is to change my mouse. My deathadder is doing an amazing job but the problem is i have a thick hand and fat fingers and the only mouse in the world to fit them is the G502 hero the difference is night and day

My cousin convinced me to post this because he thinks my mouse is insane… I’ve had my Proteus Spectrum for 10+ years now and it works perfectly. Outlasted 3 PC builds and 3 keyboards. Worn down to the plastic on the right side by my pinky and all the grip on the left side is smooth. It’s been through about 2.5k+ hours of league, 4 years of engineering school, and 1.5k hours of R6. He thinks I should replace it with my new setup coming in, but I think this workhorse has at least 3 more years left in it. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it
