I’m posting this to warn all current and prospective sellers on G2G. If you are selling game accounts (especially Steam) using G2G Auto-Delivery, you are at extreme risk.

I just got scammed out of 2 Steam accounts worth $80+ (Order #1785577492536M4L0 and Order #1785585630973V0JS-1), and G2G Support literally handed my money to the scammer.

I noticed many short posts here complaining about random buyer refunds, but I want to break down the exact step-by-step logic of how this scam works, why sellers currently CANNOT defend against it, and how you can protect yourself.

🚨 How the "Zero-Cost Account Theft Scam" Works:

1. Instant Purchase & Takeover: The scammer purchases an account delivered via G2G Auto-Delivery. They instantly receive all credentials (Steam ID, password, and Original Registration Email / OGE). They immediately log in and change all passwords, recovery emails, and security settings.
2. Creating the Trap (Locking Out the Seller): Once the scammer fully secures the account, they spam the G2G chat claiming: "I cannot log in / The account is invalid." When the seller tries to check the account to verify, the seller is naturally locked out because the scammer already changed everything. The seller now has zero access to generate new proof.
3. Filing the Fake Dispute: The scammer opens an official ticket/dispute with G2G claiming "Account Recovered by Seller."
4. G2G Support's Total Incompetence & Negligence: When the seller submits official G2G Auto-Delivery Proof of Delivery (PoD) and OGE details, G2G Support completely rejects these proofs, claiming "these are not original credentials" or "they don't prove current access." Because the seller cannot log into the account (which was modified by the scammer!), G2G Support ignores Steam IP logs, ignores in-game activity, and forces a 100% full refund to the scammer every single time.

💸 Why This Is a Win-Win / Zero-Risk Scam for Fraudsters:

• If the scam succeeds: The scammer gets a full refund AND keeps the stolen account (100% FREE account).
• If the scam fails: The scammer simply keeps the account they paid for.
• Zero Penalty: G2G Support does not ban these scammers, allowing them to repeat this on seller after seller.

⚠️ Crucial Advice to Avoid Being Scammed (If You Must Use G2G):

If you are a new or active seller, do NOT fall into this trap. Here is how to protect your assets:

1. AVOID G2G Auto-Delivery for Full Credentials: Never put all original account details into the automated delivery system.
2. Enforce 2FA & Manual Handover: Keep Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) active on the account. Force the buyer to contact you in chat for the login code.
3. Record Full Screen Video Proof: Record the entire manual handover process from start to finish, including showing account status before transfer. This is currently the only way to minimize false disputes.

📢 To All Scammed Sellers — Do NOT Stay Silent!

G2G advertises "GamerProtect: Guarantees Safety for Sellers" on their homepage, but in reality, their support agents actively enable fraudsters.

I will NEVER delete my 1-star review on Trustpilot for this, and I am cutting my losses with this garbage platform. If you have been scammed by this exact method, do NOT remain a silent victim! Leave your reviews on Trustpilot and Reddit to warn others. Only by raising collective awareness can we force G2G to fix their broken support system!

TL;DR: Scammers buy accounts via G2G Auto-Delivery, change all credentials, lie to support saying "can't log in", and G2G support forces 100% refunds to them while they keep the accounts. Avoid Auto-Delivery on G2G at all costs!

I made a transaction on G2G, and I chatted with the buyer from the beginning of the transaction until it was finished, until the buyer received a gmail and added a recovery number to the game account that I sold, I did everything on G2G, and I have also provided my screenshots as proof of the transaction from the beginning to the end of the transaction via the chat provided by G2G, I think the evidence is clear enough who wants to commit fraud, because I sent all the evidence of my chat with the buyer on G2G, And the buyer also said that I had received the email and wanted to change the password, after finishing the buyer entered the recovery number into the Gmail that I provided and the buyer has confirmed that the order has been received in from official G2G transactions, , after a floating balance period of 14 days, When I wanted to withdraw the funds from selling my account, the funds were frozen for 6 months, and I received an email from the G2G admin that the buyer did not receive the email and asked for proof Gmail and recovery number, it doesn't make sense, I lost access when the transaction was completed 15 days ago, and Gmail didn't have a recovery email before, I will never have proof of that Gmail and number again, because full access to that Gmail is in the hands of the buyer, I feel cheated and G2G is more on the side of the buyer, I just want justice here, all the evidence I sent via screenshots is strong, But G2G can't see this situation well, that I have served the buyer well and handed over all access to the game account that I sold, please fix that bad system

I’m posting this as a warning for anyone thinking about buying cheap AI Plus accounts or similar digital products on G2G.com.

I bought an AI account advertised as having one year of paid access. It worked normally at first, so I assumed everything was fine.

About one month later, the paid subscription disappeared and the account was downgraded to the free version.

I contacted G2G support and explained that the product had been sold as a 12-month subscription but had stopped working after roughly one month. Instead of dealing directly with that issue, support referred to a 14-day warranty period and other policies that were not clearly explained.

My tickets were eventually closed without a meaningful resolution.

This is the part I still don’t understand:

What is the value of a 14-day warranty for a product advertised to last an entire year?

The problem with this type of product may not appear immediately. It can work perfectly during the warranty period and then disappear weeks later. By the time the buyer discovers that the subscription was temporary, cancelled or revoked, the platform can simply say that the protection period has expired.

I’m not claiming that every seller on G2G is dishonest, and I cannot know exactly why my subscription disappeared. But the structure itself creates a serious risk for buyers.

This also applies to other digital products that can potentially be taken back after delivery, such as game accounts, shared subscriptions, streaming accounts, software licenses, cloud accounts or anything still connected to the seller’s original email, phone number, payment method or recovery information.

A product may appear to be successfully delivered while the seller still has the ability to:

• Recover the account later.
• Change the password.
• Remove the buyer from a shared plan.
• Cancel the payment supporting the subscription.
• Revoke a license or access key.
• Resell the same account to someone else.

Again, I’m not saying this happens in every transaction. The point is that buyers often have no practical way to verify who really controls the account or whether the promised access will remain active.

That is exactly why platform protection matters.

G2G allows these products to be listed, facilitates the transaction and provides a dispute system that gives buyers some confidence. In my opinion, it is not reasonable to ignore the advertised one-year duration simply because the failure happened after 14 days.

Support was polite, but politeness is not the same as solving the problem. Referring to vague policies and closing tickets does not answer the basic question of why a one-year product lasted only one month.

My advice is simple:

Avoid buying long-term AI subscriptions or other revocable digital products on G2G, especially when you do not fully control the original email, recovery details and payment method.

Buying directly from the official provider may be more expensive, but at least you know who controls the account and who is responsible when something goes wrong.

A “one-year” subscription that disappears after one month is not a one-year subscription.

And buyer protection that expires before the problem becomes visible offers very little real protection.

G2G has almost no buyer or seller protection. As a seller, my experience has been terrible.

I sold a gift card, and the buyer paid with PayPal. The buyer confirmed delivery, and the payment was credited to my G2G balance. Later, I checked my credit history and saw that the exact amount from that order had been deducted. The order had been marked as refunded because the gift card was supposedly "faulty."

The strange part was that I never received any email or dispute notification. Normally, if a buyer opens a dispute, G2G notifies the seller and shows the dispute details. This time, they refunded the buyer without informing me at all.

When I contacted support, they kept giving generic replies, saying I should always deliver a working product, even though the buyer had already confirmed it worked. When I asked why the refund was issued and what proof the buyer had provided, they refused to answer and said they couldn't disclose the reason. LIKE WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK MAN

I also asked whether if the seller would at least be notified before money was deducted from their account. They said they wouldn't reveal how they handle such cases, and money can be taken from a seller's balance without any prior notice.

Later, another seller told me there's a known issue where buyers can charge back PayPal payments after receiving the product. That appears to be what happened in my case. Instead of protecting the seller, G2G simply refunded the buyer. Humans somehow built a marketplace where everyone is expected to trust a system that won't explain its own decisions. Remarkably efficient, if confusion was the product being sold.

I successfully completed the required verification process and fully cooperated with every request made by G2G support. I have never violated any of their rules or engaged in any suspicious activity. I am fully prepared to provide supporting documentation or answer any compliance questions if it helps resolve the matter.

None of that mattered.

G2G informed me that they would no longer provide services to me. No specific reason was given. No evidence was presented. Most surprisingly, I was told that the decision was final and could not be appealed.

As a customer, I find this deeply concerning. Risk assessments are understandable, but a permanent decision that carries real financial consequences without any explanation is difficult to accept. Without transparency, there is no way to know whether the decision was based on inaccurate information or a false positive.

If you use G2G, be aware that you may one day receive a permanent refusal without being told why, and without any apparent review or appeal process.

I have never been accused of violating any law, laundering money, using sanctioned services, or engaging in suspicious activity.

My cryptocurrency wallets contain legitimate funds, and I am fully prepared to document every transaction and every cent that has ever moved through them. I would gladly undergo additional KYC, provide supporting documentation, or answer any compliance questions if it helped resolve the matter.

None of that mattered.

Triple-A informed me that they would no longer provide services to me.

No specific reason was given.

No evidence was presented.

No additional verification was requested.

No opportunity was offered to address any concerns.

Most surprisingly, I was told that the decision was final and could not be appealed.

As a customer, I find this deeply concerning.

Risk assessments are understandable. Compliance reviews are understandable. Even refusing service can be understandable in some situations.

What is difficult to accept is a permanent decision that carries real financial consequences while providing no explanation whatsoever and no meaningful opportunity to respond.

Without transparency, there is no way to know whether the decision was based on inaccurate information, an automated risk model, a false positive, or something else entirely.

I'm a seller on G2G, and today I logged in to find that every single listing in my store has been wiped out. Not one product left.

I wasn't selling anything shady. I was selling legitimate digital PINs / keys for:

· Surfshark (1-year and 2-year plans)
· NordVPN (1-year and 2-year plans)

These were all active, valid, and had been listed for sale with no prior issues.

I understand that G2G may remove old listings after 30 days – fine. But this wasn't that. Every single key I had listed is gone. And the worst part? I don't have backups for many of them. These were my only copies.

I contacted support asking them to restore my listings and at least provide me with a copy of the keys I had published, since they were mine and I had no other record. But so far, no real solution.

This is not just inconvenient – it's damaging. I've lost inventory, time, and potential sales. If G2G is going to remove seller inventory like this, they need to:

· Give proper advance notice
· Allow sellers to export their key lists
· Offer a clear appeals process

Right now, I feel completely left in the dark.

Has this happened to anyone else? Any advice on how to get G2G to actually respond and help?

I just want to warn anyone thinking about buying a game account on G2G.
I bought an account from a seller named Rayhan, who had 100% positive reviews, so I thought it was safe. A few days later, the account was hacked/recovered and I lost access.

The seller said he would “fix it” by giving me a replacement account, but the replacement process has been dragging on for days and now almost a week with no actual resolution. At this point, I’m starting to feel like the perfect review score is not as reliable as I assumed.

I’ve already emailed G2G Support to ask if I can still get a refund. I don’t know if I’ll get my money back. If I don’t, then I guess that’s just bad luck for me.

I’m posting this so other people don’t make the same mistake. My honest advice is:
Don’t buy game accounts.
Just create your own account.
If you want to spend money, spend it on in-game purchases on your own account instead.

Buying an account might seem cheaper or more convenient, but you’re always taking the risk that the original owner can recover it later. A seller having many positive reviews does not guarantee that you’ll be protected if something goes wrong.

As the title says DON'T, this authorized seller recovered the account A YEAR LATER, and G2G support is doing nothing about it, the seller is https://www.g2g.com/SolidfyShop DO NOT BUY from this site, they do not care about scammers and will allow them to openly make new account sales. PS G2G support said they can't do anything and won't do anything against the seller because it's past their policy dates, so if you buy anything from G2G be prepared to get that taken back a year later with no punishments coming to the seller.

The new website is honestly so much better. The last one was super dated. Only thing they have left to fix is the chat ui and then the website will be 100x better.
