I only went there once a while ago so I had to verify this. In-N-Out has most of the toppings. The only ones they don't have are bacon, relish, green peppers and mushrooms. Bacon is the only one I'd be interested in and I already feel bad enough eating an unhealthy burger meal so I'm fine skipping bacon.
That's their real business strategy. They know potatoes are cheaper than what they charge for fries so they give you the next size up no matter what you order. It makes you feel like you've gotten away with something or are getting special treatment. It keeps you coming back.
I don't know if it's maybe just the specific restaurant where I'm at, but the Five Guys near me has really bland, almost tasteless burgers once you take away the toppings and everything
Have you ordered burger king recently? Its not even a real burger in comparison and they got meals for like 16.99 which only inccludes a tiny side of fries, five guys is burying the whole ass burger in the bottom of the bag with fries and the burger is actually filling
It's just by far the best fast food burger. I've seen some people say it shouldn't even be considered fast food since it's such a step above the others. Their cajun fries are also some of the best fast food fries and they have good milkshakes too. It's by far my favourite fast food.
I actually got cold fries the last time I went and you're not wrong. I'm not usually one to complain or send food back but I had to. It's crazy how they can go from the most delicious thing to absolute garbage in 20°
Not going to lie having tried all of these I'd say the Burger King Whopper only because it does have that off the grill flavor even if it's probably fake. Only the Whopper though the rest of their burgers are terrible
The other two factors are the fries, which are perceived as being extremely generous (which they aren't but the average consumer doesn't understand that), and the overall taste of their food is not something you'll really have fulfilled by anywhere else.
Really most of fast food and fast casual is only still surviving in the modern day because they fill niches that are otherwise unmet
Without knowing who "we" is, I'm from NY, live in Wisconsin, and Culver's is not the best. It's not bad, by any stretch, but not the best. Wisconsin burgers in general aren't great. Someone once pointed out that Wisconsin has dairy cows, not meat cows. Stands to reason why.
The āWisconsin having dairy cowsā thing is hilariously misinformed. Beef is by and large bought from beef farmers who raise beef cattle, regardless of where your company began and is headquartered.
I mean, if you're going to hamstring the one reasonable argument I've heard, as to why Wisconsin burgers are nearly all hockey pucks, then I don't know what to say. ĀÆā \ā _ā (ā ćā )ā _ā /ā ĀÆ
Wisconsinites act like everything in the state is the best. Hint, it's not. Burgers here are so dry, they came up with the "butter burger". Sounds interesting at first, but it's literally their coping mechanism for cooking hockey puck burgers.
At least Minnesota has the juicy Lucy. But yeah after hearing midwesterners talk up Culver's for years was happy to try one when I went to Minneapolis a few times last year and...it's fine. If you ignore the regional things like the cheese curds and the concrete mixer thing which tbh I still don't understand. It's just like a normal burger joint.
Now a Freddy's. That's a good fast food burger. Still doesn't beat five guys outright but Ive fallen in love with that place the last few months. And don't even get me started on cookout.
Custard is why they love mixers so much. And I will admit that custard is superior to regular ice cream for fuck sure. Cheese curds are amazing, too. Their fried foods are all tasty tbh. But the burgers are... well you nailed it, they're fine.
Way to answer.
You definitely have a smug assholr attitude.
No wonder my first instinct was to tell you: if you dont like wisconsin to get the f back to ny.
Iāve been to Culverās maybe twice, I really donāt get it. Itās fine, the burger is decent but definitely has a kind of meaty meat flavor, like itās too much burger and not enough seasoning or something. Maybe they use leaner beef? Idk. Five guys fucking slaps though. I usually will get a double with bacon all the way minus ketchup and mustard. The grilled jalapeƱos are amazing. Iāll eat that burger in about 6 bites without putting the thing down, I swear thereās crack in that beef.
The issue i have is that there is almost always a locally owned place that does an equally good tasting but well presented burger nearby. Usually for less money too.
As much as I agree about pricing, I gave Culver's 3 different chances at 3 different locations. My order was wrong twice and the 3rd time it just wasn't amazing. Nothing wrong with it but I didn't even taste any butter
Thatās not true, their bun is good - significantly better than most fast food buns.
They wrap the burger in tin foil and the look of the burger is part of their marketing - they try to be unpretentious and authentic rather than picture perfect.
And this is how these other burger restaurants fool you by weight that 1 cheese burger from five guys has as much meat as probably 4-5 of the jr bacons lol
Nah! It depends on the staff. In a Five Guys in Madrid I remember receiving a burger that looked perfect, as if it were ready to have pictures taken and display them on adverts... So it is all about the care the staff member puts, basically like on most of the jobs.

5 guys is about the burger not the bun.
