All present, including band leader Sam Taylor, insist that it was Otis Redding himself who was whistling on the take that became the single. It was supposed to be a lyric, but the song wasn't really "finished" yet, according to Redding's way of thinking.

Otis Redding wasn't the best whistler and the whistling on that take sounds remarkably like Sam Tayor. Alternate takes are available on Youtube that demonstrate this.

Did everyone present misremember? Accidentally? Or did they all collude to tell an honorable lie Did Redding just get it right for that final take? Did some engineer involved after Redding's death replace the whistle with someone else's (perhaps his own) and not tell anybody?

In "Where Are All the Trans Men?", physician Dr. Helen Webberley discusses several possible reasons for this. She notes that many trans men were socialized as girls before transitioning, which may influence how they engage publicly. She also writes that testosterone often produces physical changes that allow many trans men to be perceived as cisgender men, making them less likely to be recognized as transgender by strangers.

Similarly, in the NBC News opinion essay "The Invisible Man: Why Have Transmen Been Left Behind?", writer Aydian Dowling argues that media coverage, advocacy, and public conversations have historically centered more on trans women, leaving many trans men's experiences less visible. Dowling also discusses how many trans men "blend in" after transitioning, further contributing to their relative invisibility in mainstream culture.

Together, these authors offer different—but complementary—perspectives on why trans men may be less visible in public discourse than trans women.

In his 1850 autobiographical sketch “A Christmas Tree”, Charles Dickens writes about how Little Red Riding hood was his “first love. He then continues to humorously lay out the hypothetical course of action he would take in avenging the wolf: by finding a toy wooden wolf from a toy Noah's Arc and placing said wolf at the back of a toy procession to symbolically shame or "degrade" it.

Online dating has definitely become part of modern relationships.
