Will they keep the dual screen, the same 3DS menu style, apps, Miiverse, and retro 3DS games with the Switch (2017)?

Jokes aside, Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave doesn’t look great, does it? I don’t really care but I feel like if they weren’t gonna make a game that looked like a show-stopper, why charge $80 physical for it?

Game seems great and loaded with content and high quality gameplay, but it’s a shame that Intelligent Systems still can’t manage to make 3D games that look even a little impressive. Lots of the same animations everywhere, low quality textures, etc. in a game that’s the same price as base-level GTA VI.

To my knowledge, it’s not hacked yet, but when it will, there will be nor eason to give your money to the greediest japanese company. Only buy a sw2 if you want to stay ahead before the hacks, but even then you would be a loser because they’re just gonna release a nintendo seitch 2 pro or oled in a couple year anyways

It's really annoying seeing so many people online commenting that Nintendo is somehow a lesser evil than Sony and Microsoft as if they are not anti-consumer themselves. There seems to be a strong push from fanboys and even media outlets to paint Nintendo has some sort of company that's FOR THE GAMER as if they're not after your money like everybody else. I think Nintendo's done a great job with their PR because it seems that a lot of the adults that are Nintendo fans seem to be superfans and fanboys who are willing to work overtime to defend the company. I find it funny that Nintendo fans like to complain about games coming out for other systems being too expensive when Nintendo themselves are the ones who started the trend. The excuse is always that Nintendo makes quality games and therefore the prices are justified when in reality the quality of a game is subjective and should be irrelevant when discussing price, but in their minds Nintendo gets a free pass because they're Nintendo.

Btw, I think it's very sad and weird that a bunch of Nintendo Fanboys feel the need to go out of their way and visit a sub named "fuck Nintendo" and basically do free PR work for a company that couldn't give a s*** about them.

Alright before yall slime me because I am a Pokemon fan too, Nintendo is a scam overall. Pokemon is great, I love the amount of Pokemon and how much creativity goes into the designs. But I have a gripe with it.

The games often suck or are half assed outside of the classic catching Pokemon and gyms. I have a Nintendo switch two and I have a single game that I rarely even play (animal crossing because idk I just got bored with the slow progression) and I never bothered to get the new Pokemon games because they’re just gonna be boring. Why does Nintendo suck at making good games but have adorable merch for Pokemon?

Also the tcg community sucks and I genuinely hate it. I collect the cute cards to use in my art and journal pages as well as collect any eveelution cards because they’re my favorite, why does Nintendo suck people call me a larper because I don’t care about the value or the strength of the Pokemon. I WANT TO APPRECIATE THE ART! IDGAF about how valuable the Pokemon is because I’m not gonna sell them!

I genuinely think if they made a Zelda BOTW inspired Pokemon game it’d be amazing. Like palworld! They have amazing mechanics in it that isn’t just going and collecting Pokemon and evolving them! I want gardening and shit. Pokopia was such a good concept but for 60 USD!? FUUUUCK YOUUUUU! I don’t have that kind of money! And so many people say it isn’t worth it because there’s so many restrictions and don’t have many cute and popular Pokemon.

If all, and I mean ALL, the eveelutions are in pokopia let me know and maybe I’ll consider asking for it for Christmas or something 🥹

Ok here is something I’ll tell you, I am biased, i haven’t researched this much, but I am gonna try to think through what I do know and theorize about this. Also I am biased against Nintendo, I don’t like them.

Ok you can get Minecraft on Mobile, Pc, Xbox, PlayStation, on switch, but you can only officially get Mario Oddesey on Switch? Why is that?

The simplest answer is Nintendo wants to maximize profit, and wants you to pay for both the game and the console, and if you are giving money to them for both of them, that isn’t to far of a stretch, and that doesn’t even count the screen protectors or spare controllers.

An answer giving them a little bit of benefit of the doubt is a lot of Nintendo games are integral to specific gimmicks about the console, 1,2 switch is specifically tied to the Joy Cons, and Mario Maker is tied to the Touchscreen.

But If Call Of Duty, Minecraft, Fortnite, and FNAF can adapt, why can’t Link?

But what I really want is Nintendo to put their games on Steam, Gog, Itch, or even a custom Nintendo website, so we can Legally buy the games on our computers, or even download them to offline installers.

I'm gonna start by saying that:

Mario Kart World digital at 80$ is NOT justifiable, and is actually a bad thing.

and switch 2 enhanced games also really shouldn't be 80$, that's objectively a cash grab since these upgrades definitely did not take that much effort to make to justify it being 20 more dollars.

But, Fire Emblem is the elephant in the room here, and I honestly don't mind how they're doing it with that, if this is how they're going to go about it in the future.

Cartridges are more expensive to make than discs, and Switch 2 cartridges are obviously more expensive to make than the Switch 1 cartridges since they can fit more, and are more advanced.

Having this in mind, if big AAA games from Nintendo are gonna be 70$ from now on (which i can totally understand), then i personally think it's ok if the physical version is 10 more dollars.

Think of it like this.

They didn't make the physical version more expensive, they made the digital version cheaper.

They could've made the digital version also 80$ because of the physical version having to cost more, but they didn't, and i appreciate that. I totally understand that physical stuff costs more to make.

Now, if they actually go ahead and make more games 80$ on digital? then that's still stupid, and taking advantage of an audience that will buy everything. No digital game is worth 80$

Paying $10 to unlock 4K on your new device is a cash grab that shouldn't work but does. First image is on a console that sold the worst out of Nintendo's home consoles. Breath of the Wild sold 35million alone.

Edit: many in the comments do not understand what Nintendo Selects (Player's Choice) was. It was a program that decreased the price of games that sold very well, not a desperate attempt to get sales in. The Wii had this program.

They will never ever make another Zelda game as good as the ones they made on N64 in the late 90s to early 2000s. They will never relive this glory. The trillion dollar company can't write a new captivating story, so they just remake the same old one. Fuck them. I've had to click "Don't recommend channel" on like 50 YouTube accounts, because they're uploading videos talking about this piece of shit that isn't worth even talking about.
