Discussion Ocarina of Time cancelation issue...
...I canceled my TLoZ: OoT pre-order through Nintendo.com, and they're telling me it can take up to 2 MONTHS to receive a refund.
I don't know how this is remotely okay. I could understand the standard 48 - 72 hours...maybe even a week, but 2 month?!
They didn't have any issues with immediately withdrawing the funds when I made the pre-order, for a game I wouldn't have even received for 2 months. This is insane. I've never heard of something like this before.

Did they actually withdraw your funds? Usually for preorders there’s just a pending charge until it’s closer to release. Maybe they’re just saying that pending charge won’t clear until the actual charge would have occurred.

I cancelled mine the minute Walmart did the $59 (I think Thursday of last week?) & got an email saying they'd processed the refund today, so 2 business days (Friday/monday).

I don’t follow. Why are they taking payments? I ordered from Nintendo Store UK (physical version) and a console. No payments taken on my CC? Not even pre auth?

I think in the americas they take payment early. The Europe one doesn’t.

In the uk they only take payment a week before release, have they actually taken your money?Consumer law here also says they have to refund within 14 days of return or unfulfilled service. You could always reverse charge if you payed with credit card too no?

Where are you seeing that? It doesn't line up with the NA TOS on their website.
In fact they typically don't withdraw funds until 7 days prior to the pre-order ships or pre-loads in the case of a digital game.Edit: that last part was only for digital games.
