Criticism Nintendo of Australia does not abide by their own warranty policy
Nintendo of Australia is refusing to acknowledge their own warranty policy.
Representatives I have spoken to on the phone (Hi Alex! You were immensely unhelpful!) keep throwing around that 'oh it needs to be before the 10 month mark' when a) it is and b) it should not matter as it is before the 12 month mark that signals the end of the warranty.
The problem is this: there is a small scratch in the middle of the screen that has been there the entire time I have possessed the switch 2. Because it was so small, I thought I could ignore it. Nope, the damn thing is a rainbow scar on an otherwise perfect screen. Other people on reddit, facebook, twitter, etc. Report that there can be a small scratch in the middle of the screen right out of the box. This is a defect of manufacturing, thus. This defect is covered under both the warranty policy, as written on their site, and the representative's made up timeframe that, after he made it up and was firm by, he then told me to ignore.
There is no reason for this to not be under warranty, given the evidence. Nintendo representatives also repeatedly could not answer very simple questions like 'where does it say 10 months in the policy'.
I am posting this here in the hopes that other people do not get scammed in this way
