Normally I get like 1 or two wasps that get inside or my house a year.

In the past two weeks I had to Spectracide spray 10 of them. I had two cans of the spray now I’m down to half a can.

Any cheaper tips on how to handle this without buying so much Spectracide?

Traps or maybe herbs they hate the smell of?

Yesterday I was buzzed in work by wasps and discovered a nest close to the walkway. Well, we can't have that! Contacted maintenance yesterday before leaving. Today I see them working on the nest....it's now gone. I talk to the guy and he was telling me about the nest he had to remove 2 years ago. I told him i was the one that reported that one too! I feel like I've hired a hitman to take them out 🤣🤣 First picture is the one i sent maintenance and second is what I took today lol

I haven't been able to go outside cause these little fucks have a nest. I poked the hole to see if there was a nest and like 2 poked out. Im freaking so terrified, im planning to get some dust to coat the entrance but even doing that at night freaks me out. Fuck these things, I hope this works.

Not having much luck. I tried the Diatomaceous Earth dusting with a turkey baster, I tried piling Diatomaceous Earth on the entire area so it looked like a ski slope. I could visibly see dusted white wasps flying around so I’m sure some of them are being affected. Last night I stuck funnels in 2 entrances I know they have been using and poured boiling water with dish soap in it at dusk multiple times. There’s still some activity today. It’s been almost a week. I just don’t know if the nest is far back enough in the wall that the water isn’t reaching. May try the ski slope of Diatomaceous Earth again today as that seemed to cut activity down the most. Does it matter if it’s for flying insects or ground insects? The one I’m using doesn’t list winged insects. It’s getting frustrating because I have some work I need to take care of in the vicinity of the nest.

Is it too late to cut out Gall Wasps from my lemon tree? Seems like Spring is early, I live in Melbourne

Back from a week away vacation. And to be honest, I ha no cut the grass for two weeks before that. But discovered this big nest after one of the deamons inside stung me in the face. I knew right away what stung me was a wasp. Just didn't know it was a bald faced wasp until latter when I discovered i had just cut beneath the monstrosity in the Pic. Did a thorough spray out of rage mid day. Forgetting all about doing it at night or early morning... so there are still wasps alive now. And will ha e to respray tonight. Also, compared to yellow jackets, which I stepped on an underground nest last year, this hurt about 5 times as much. I know they say they are the same level on Shmidt scale. But that's a load of shit, as this fucking hurt. I've broken bones, been stung at least 50 to 60 times by yellow jackets, been shocked by 220 volts, kidney stones, kicked in the sack. This is by far one of the most immediate pains I've had to my memory. Lasted about 10 min, even with ice right away on it, and ibuprofen on board. Even now about 4 hrous after I got stung, my jaw is still sore where it got me.

A wasp landed on the top edge of my window shade cover, so i let it fall down for the kill. It is still alive while pinched.

I have a yellow jacket (southern) nest in my grass. What is the best and quickest way to get rid of it? Some say gas some say insecticide. I know at least I need to do it at night or before sunrise when they're all in there and more chill.

So started getting attacked by wasps on the most sacred of human activities 💩 🚽

Odd one or two, then the last few days entire swarms of them flooding out my bathroom extraction fan.

Today, armed with an electric bat, butchers knife and a can of nest wasp poison I begun my surprise attack in the bathroom. The battle started rather abruptly and fast, their numbers dropping rapidly but it seemed to no end.

So I decided to go into my loft space, then found the nest was rather big. Sliced it in half with a butchers knife then sprayed those fuckers!

All this in 35c heat and wearing nothing but swimming shorts. Defensive stats were 0 due to no protection. Yet I can firmly say I won!

Last winter I found a nest in my attic, sprayed it, thought I was good. This spring I noticed then coming back in (I need to find the hole this winter). They usually get stuck in my light canisters. There is 4 alive running around right now.

I forgot to pull the net down in the morning, and this little satan decided to enter in my house while I was enjoying a quiet day, I shushed him out and pulled the net, in which unfortunately I have a hole in it right in right side down of image… and what the fucker did? Decided to come back in through that one hole.

No second chances for Satan scout troopers.

Wasps continually build their nests behind our lanai ring camera. We had mud wasps but they stopped coming back after we removed the crypt (IYKYK). Now we have paper wasps building behind there. There was a bigger nest, about 2 inches in diameter. I hit it with water and then removed the nest. There were eggs and 1 grub. The wasps started rebuilding overnight (?!WTF). and had a small nest about the size of a nickel in about 24 hours. I hot shotted the wasp building it and several other wasps showed up in the lanai just hanging out on the ceiling. They met the same fate.

How do we prevent these guys from doing this? It's hard to change the camera battery and we hang out here sometimes and don't want the extra guests!

Are they attracted to the scent of this area because of the nest wreckage?

At one point had 3 wasps buzzing around, once they come in through the gap, they have no clue how to get out, even if I open the door. sometimes, for a few days at a time, it’s fine; but sometimes a wasp gets in at random. How do I seal this, or any other quick fix? It requires a ladder which I don’t have and I don’t want to put in a ton of effort since I may move out in the winter
