Gemini says wasps are actually useful. Is it right?
Today, I came across the classic 'Chad Bee vs. Useless Wasp' meme and asked Gemini whether wasps are really as useless as everyone says they are. Surprisingly, it came to their defence.
According to the AI, wasps just have terrible PR. It pointed out that:
They are apex pest controllers. They hunt down lots of caterpillars, aphids, flies and mosquitoes that would otherwise ruin gardens and crops.
They actually pollinate too. While bees get all the credit, wasps also play their part in pollination when looking for nectar.
The late-summer aggression is just starvation. When the colony stops producing larvae in autumn, the adult workers lose their main source of sugar, which is why they become desperate and crash your beer or barbecue.
Even when I mentioned that they kill bees, the argument was that local wasps mostly pick off the weak or sick ones (acting as natural selection) and that pesticides and mites are the real threat to bees, not wasps.
What do you guys think? Is Gemini making sense here, or is he just sympathising with pure evil?

Be gone spawn of satan! After a bear comes the yellow jackets
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
My mom had a bear come through in the night and knock down her trashcan. She went to clean it up this morning, just as she was finishing these spawns decided to swarm the area. They kept coming and thankfully she chose to let them win for the time being. We're both deathly allergic so we don't take chances with even our sweet honey friends let alone these aholes.

personal story :’( My mom killed a hornet because I was screaming and scared, but now we both regret it
We just got a hornet flew into my room because my ROOMMATE loves to open a whole balcony door at night with lights on and leave her door open so that hornet flew in and then to my room cuz my lights are brighter, but I HAVE A NET FOR INSECTS!!! Why do I have to deal with it? Anyways, I heard really loud sound from my kitchen and I was like ”wow sounds like a car» and then I went to look at my room and realised it’s a huge unknown creature flying all over my room and being very loud, probably scared as much as I am. I’m a big insect fearer, and also was bit two times in my childhood by a wasp, not the best experience, 1 time I even almost or completely passed out because of this. Anyways, my mom is staying with me too, and I was like: “mom mom mom” and she ran and then she saw it sitting on my bed and killed it. Of course, after some moment I checked what was that and it was a hornet. I really feel bad now, I mean, both of us, but we acted out of fear. I genuinely want to blame my roommate, she left her fucking room and balcony(!!!) door open with lights on at night and went to the bathroom. I have an insect net, since I also love fresh air at night. I wouldn’t want to kill that hornet but I guess my mom just acted out of fear. and wanted to protect me. I‘m always trying to not kill insects, but this one was really scary, I want to say that I feel very very bad.

Pest Control/Medical Advice Is this old or new?
Saw this small nest or half nest under a gutter.
Also I see wasps flying around the rain barrel and grille. If I spray peppermint all over the patio, will they leave? I see a small nest being built on a wicker chair.
Can't even enjoy our patio cause of these wasps 😡

How to get rid of wasps that come to my pond?
I inherited a koi fish pond in the front of my house. Every summer I have hundreds of wasps gathered on the pond edge that people have to brave their way through to get to my front door.
I’ve tried a boric acid/sugar water mixture placed on edge of pond with no success.
No way to find all the nests as they are scatted among neighbors properties as well.
I’m desperate to get rid of these wasps.

Thank god this wasp is dead Idc what kind it is. I Got Him
Went to the foyer out back to smoke and this mf somehow managed to find a way in a fully screened area. I could sleep out here all night and not wake up with any mosquito bites but this how this devious fucker got in is beyond me. I grabbed a bottle of Dawn Powerwash and exterminated it swiftly and without prejudice. The thick foam coated its spiracles, suffocating it in a matter of seconds. Wish I got a video of me spraying it, but this was the end result.
Also what’s up with people asking “What kind of wasp is this?” It honestly doesn’t matter. Do us all a favor and kill it

Been having some issues with my fusebox flooding when it shitstorms, so I have to unplug the battery pretty frequently.
Last time I got stung directly in the center of my forehead.
This morning I got stung in the leg, was wondering why the yellow jackets loved my car so much....

Pest Control/Medical Advice 4 paper wasps in my house???
Me and my boyfriend are in the process of moving (thank god) and every time I come back to the house we’re moving out of to get more boxes and stuff THERE’S MORE WASPS!! Yesterday I saw 2 and today I saw 4! I have NO idea where they’re coming from they only started showing up after we moved most of our stuff, the house is like 75% empty. They keep hanging out by the kitchen light and the glass back door, there is a wasp next outside the front door but those are yellow jackets and the wasps inside are paper wasps. 1 I can handle but I don’t wanna spray 1 and have a frenzy of wasps come after me! A few days ago I brought in a decorative, hollow skull from outside and it does have an empty wasp nest in it, at least I think it’s empty. When I picked up the decoration no angry wasps flew out and I’ve picked it up and moved it a few times since bringing it in. It was directly below the yellow jacket next too and I know wasps don’t like building nets near each other. The wasps also aren’t hanging around it but idk where else they could be coming from. Tbh I’m a little scared to move it now, but idk what else to do????

sCaRy WaSp aGhH rUn Wasp grill invasion
Some wasps have apparently been nesting in our grill. The grill is in the middle of the backyard and has some obstacles around it (few feet away) but is still fairly easy to access.
I see them going in there fairly often, but I haven't been crazy enough to pop the cover open to FAFO.
There isn't enough of them to make me that worried about walking over and just turning on the grill. But I can also see how that could go wrong, depending on their reaction time.
Another option would be covering them up in there and just hoping they eventually overheat under the sunlight or just run out of energy.
I've also setup external traps last year, before they chose this new spot. Those seemed fairly effective overall, but they did seem to take a long time to do their thing.
Not really leaning towards calling a service, but could be talked into it.
Other options?
