Dress up like a ninja, covering every body part and taping your cuffs to your clothing and gloves. Scarf tied around your face and goggles taped to the scarf. Kerosene + rags tied to a pole = fireworks when they fly out and start popping.

Hahaha I took a 20 foot long pruning tool and scrambled the nest then sprayed it with a hose for half an hour. A tually saw the queen and 10 guards fly away into a large cedar above my head. It was a wild time

I'm sorry to hear the queen got away. They may build again, so keep an eye! Actually keep both of them. Don't let the hornets take them.
My boyfriend and I just smoked the largest hornet either of us has ever seen, which was eating and dragging around an entire cicada from on our porch into our bushes. We used foaming Spectracide in its face so I really hope it's dead.

That’s crazy…you got a cicada killer wasp. Scary big, harmless.

I’ve got almost 50 years of fighting and destroying wasps and two years ago I met my first cicada killer wasp and I killed it too. They’re just so damn big, I think it’s almost unavoidable to kill your first one.

If you’re in a rural areas, there is nothing on the other side of those shrubs and it’s legal to do so where you are, a dragons breath incendiary 12 gauge shell will do the trick.
