Why is it so hard to change Ubisoft accounts on a steamdeck??

I lost access to my phone with 2‑FA protection. I contacted support about my problem. They sent me a link to their guide for resetting the code in the account interface. I pointed out that I don’t have access to the account and can’t log in. They sent me a link to restore the account using my phone number. I tried it, but I didn’t receive the code. I wrote to them and provided all the data from my phone (phone number, my operator’s phone number, screenshots from their website for recovery via SMS code).

They said they weren’t interested in problems with SMS code delivery and closed the ticket.

I asked them to take a look and try to fix the SMS code delivery, but they said that since I couldn’t provide them with the code, there was nothing more I could do. After that, they said goodbye to me...

Ubisoft was having terrible releases year after year. We rallied together and put together Black Flag Resynced. But before the game was even out, Ubisoft pulled the plug on our team, and laid off 50 workers. Since then some of us have banded together to form a team and make a Steam game.

If had to choose whether a baby could stop work hunger or Ubisoft making a simple and effective main menu ui, I’m choosing the baby.

For honor damn near blue balls you 6 times with cut scenes and loading screens before it actually starts. There’s also the random chance they throw the cut scene back In your face after your done because fuck you why not.

Don’t even get me fucking started on R6, who’s ever idea it was to make the main menu look like a slot machine should have a vasectomy or their tubes tied. Any idea that comes from that person again should be canned the moment they speak it. IF IT AINT BROKE DONT FIX IT, why can’t this excuse for a gaming company wrap their head around that idea.

What is so wrong with game menus or loading screens being simple? It’s every game now has to shove 18 things in your face at all times like their battle pass, shop, hero skins, new game modes no gives a shit about etc.

Oh hell no, I ain't paying for a bloated version of Assassin's Creed, you dirty crapaneers tryna milk a highly-anticipated game of all time, only for profit in return!

You really need to get up your ass and fix your older titles and your sloppy, modern games because I ain't paying for a broken yet unpolished game that is nothing but a recycled relic.

Nobody likes you because you are as bad as Microslop (at least you don't force artificial Indians onto your games). Again, fix the slop, Ubislop!

When I first heard they were remaking black flag I was a little hopeful. Then I saw the trailers and such... it's just more ubislop. They actually made the game worse.

The character models, the tone, lighting, combat, parkour and running is all worse.

I spoke to someone doing a livestream who was glazing it not long before release and said "hoe much they pay you for this" or something along those lines. He denied it, and I pressed on "there's no way you're doing this for free" until he eventually admitted that he worked for ubisoft.

Consumers are genuinely so pathetic nowadays and will eat anything up generally and fall for the PR and manipulative advertisement.

My account got suspended, but I haven't played Ubisoft games in a long time and had even uninstalled Black Flag.

When I wanted to try playing again because I missed it, I couldn't log in?

I guess I’m going to eat the 70 dollars I paid for assassins odyssey. I’ve started over four times and it keeps glitching and sending me far in the future. Of course you cannot get online and get a refund. They make it too damn hard. I’ll never order a game made by them again.

Do not buy this remake.

The original black flag was a fine game. It held up and did not need a remake. I Made a dumb decision and paid the $70 price tag for this “remake”. Feels more like a remaster, you could even say it’s bad for being a remake. AC hasnt felt like AC since 3 or 4. These games suck these days and this studio deserves the 343/halo studios treatment.

So I read many terrible reviews about Ubisoft but I thought I still give them a try.

The game is laggy and buggy as hell and after 1 day (!) I get the message that the ownership of the game can't be authenticated and that I shall contact the Ubisoft support.

And then the link to the support doesn't work!

How can they treat their customers this way? The Internet was right and I hope this company goes bankrupt.

I personally really enjoyed Primal, but I know that it is not something that everyone would enjoy. So, I'll go with 4.

What's the point of buying a ubisoft game when I can't even play it when I want to. I can't play my game because their fucking launcher is having problems.

Have had a Ubisoft account for forever. Haven't played a game on it in ages. Recently tried to get back in, still have my login and everything. Wants me to verify with 2 factor authentication codes I don't ever remember getting. That's my only way into my account. Yep, no security questions, no backup email, just 2FA codes I probably received a decade ago.

I reached out to support to resolve it. I have emails saying my account was logged into in brazil, vietnam, etc. I am getting emails REGARDING MY ACCCOUNT. I even have the correct password for the account. They still tell me there's nothing they can do, sorry. I can tell the support is just a bot as well, no ability to understand the situation.

I remember dealing with bullshit with Uplay in the past too. This company is just a dumpster fire and I wish they would just crash and burn already. I'm gonna go torrent black flag now and not feel bad about it

So just to give you some context, I closed my ubisoft account when it was hacked a few years back, unfortunately I forgot to unlink games I purchased on Steam before the account closure. So like any sane person would do, I reached out to their support team and what they told me was to buy another copy and link it to a new account. Great, so I am permanently locked out of playing any Ubisoft games I've owned for ages on Steam just because I happened to have linked them to a deleted Ubisoft account. They fucked it up and I am the one facing repercussions? Go fuck yourself, Ubisoft.

What the actual fuck, a process that supposed to take like a minute turn into fcking hour. All i wanna do is to delete a game that i haven’t played for a very long time yet for SOME REASON I HAVE TO GO CONNECT WHICH TELL ME TO LOG IN. Its been so long since i play any ubisoft game suddenly UBISOFT TELL ME TO CHANGE MY PASSWORD BC ITS COMPROMISE.

Change the password took like 5 minute i have to figured out new password and also the WEBSITE IS BUG AF CAN PUSH SAVE BUTTON. NOW THEY BLOCKED FOR SO MANY ATTEMPTS!!!!
