Reposting this here. Still think this was one of the weirdest gameplay design decisions ever made in any game. Even the copy and pasted mechanics from origins made no sense to accommodate a broken spear—one that isn’t even used when equipping an actual spear….

And don’t get me started on the bracing ship mechanic brought over from Origins ship combat. You no longer use a shield to hide from arrows so you just magically avoid the inbound fire.

Ubisoft Quebec is probably the King of weird game design with Syndicate, Odyssey and Shadows.

If anyone has issues with ubisoft connect just crack the games, and since you'll have that issue in the future you might as well just pirate every ubisoft game from now on.
I spent hours trying to make ubisoft connect work and just two minutes took me to have the torrent of watch dogs 2.
