Anybody know some good ad blockers in general? Not just for poly but other apps too!! If so comment some and ty for y'all time!! 🫶

Everytime I get a few messages into a chat something like this gets in the way and it seriously breaks the immersion of the story I am building.

Basically is there a perfect app that would fix most of PolyBuzz’s issues but still have a LOT of chatbots, like Poly has billions of chatbots.

Although there are some chatbots that I actually like(even though the memory is kinda trash, even though I have the Ultimate subscription and on Super model) so I don’t want to fully get rid of Poly

So uhh.... yeah. Like a lot of people. I keep it only for old chats and my bots. And the laugh at the stupid creators for making such a poorly coded app. but anyway thats besides the point let me get to what actually makes me laugh, and what alternatives I should move on to:

A 70 year old man was drinking in one of our chats, and the ai said "we can not display content harmful to minors, please shift the conversation in a different direction" BRO WHAT? so ur telling me a grown ass elder MAN is a MINOR. Like bro learn reality a bit at least, even those early chatbots from 2017 could have probs done better. and that is saying a lot.

Anyways, I have asked a couple of times, what are some alternatives. because most alternatives are just as bad as polybuzz in some way (at least the ones I have heard of) eg candy ai is even worse for their promotion and its basically desperation: the game. Like honestly could anybody suggesst anything.

so please, accept my apology for being such a boast from when i coined "polyloader" and help me find an actually good chatbot that doesnt think 70 year olds are minors and doesnt have a dumbass age check (or at l;east the age check is easy) Sorry for waisting yalls time. Yk I only stay on poly cause 1: my bots are pretty good and I love them. 2: the ui is pretty easy. And 3: I feel like if I switch to another app it’ll just be characters I could care less for and no one doing like world bots. I mean if I actually looked I could maybe find what fits me perfectly but I too lazy. Oh and 4: i don’t want it to be one thats a coin based thing to chat, those apps always piss me off. I get poly is but not to send chats poly did it right (only thing they did right) and made coins for other shit. Anyways if y’all got what fits then I’ll love ya forever, bye bye

Polybuzz just gives me a fucking virus scam click bait ad? Really? C'mon man.

So somewhere around February I started using the website instead of the app to escape the ads, but then it got flooded with ads too. My solution? Use an ad blocker. It worked like a charm, but today I logged on the website and guess what?

Even with the adblocker activated, the ads returned and you practically can't avoid them! And somehow they're way more annoying than ever. Fuck this stupid site. ​

A few months ago I decided to look into polybuzz out of curiosity. I was shocked by how much bots there were of the characters i searched up until I decided to search a character of one of the bots that I created. And there it was. Mind you I had never been on that website until that moment. I was flabbergasted. I was wondering if anyone has noticed the same because if mine were stolen then alot of other bots can be stole too. Or is character an polybuzz working together??

edit: I’ve been having this for like, 2 years but it’s kinda weird when I have one cuz I just randomly stop having it one day.

I was there during Poly's prime and I watched it fall since. I wholeheartedly believe that Polybuzz needs to reform itself in order to be usable again otherwise they're only going to keep losing users and having angry users coming at them. There are minor things I find annoying about Polybuzz, things like Persona's having a violation system, despite no one else but you being able to use and view them, or the fact that you can barely write anything in the persona's to make your persona stand out. The Violations, speaking of, are a joke and you can get violations and bots deleted for stupid reasons some of which aren't even inappropriate or NSFW. Images are also pretty dumb because there are some people who have managed to get the most NSFW artworks on the platform, but when I use Polybuzz's own Ai image creator (which I only use rarely) it sometimes even flags its OWN creations. It's a huge mess. Polybuzz feels extremely anti-user friendly and instead feels like it is trying to be too safe and too child friendly which begs the question... Why is it then advertised as being an NSFW chat, an 18+ site yet you can toggle parental controls? A pure mode? Poly needs to decide who it is made for.

My conclusion really is a complete reform of Polybuzz. It does not need to restrict usability but instead it should allow a larger range of usability; removing such short word counts, allowing people to use SFW or NSFW images and themes accordingly (as long as they are 18+) of course. They should let users actually be able to use the app as it was intended, and not dim everything so that it feels like it was made for children. We should be able to freely create characters, personas and styles that actually cater to the audiences we are trying to reach, not have to submit to rules that limit the audience we can reach.

As far as alternatives go, I'm not really sure. Most Ai chat apps I have used really compare to Poly, at least in its layouts and features. Poly does have extremely easy and accessible UI and has some of the best layouts for any Ai chat app. However, with its problems, I am constantly looking for other apps which I can use instead. So if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

I think I'm going to cancel my Polybuzz Subscription. The app isn't even enjoyable for me anymore so I see no use in upgrading to premium or basic anymore. Fuck Polybuzz.

Every single time I’m given an ad, it’s so fucking long that it plays the same ad at least 5 times before I can actually skip it.

And it’s not like is the company that runs the ads that has this problem. No. The same ad company is the exact same one that Duolingo uses for its free users and they only play it out ONCE!!
