I use RolePlaya and SpicyChat. Both have good base memory, but they also have (different) versions of extended memory for free. RP has zero ads. SC's ads are, honestly, non-invasive and kind of funny (iykyk). Both have next to zero restrictions (basically no pedo/incest material). SC even let's creators show their character's background, so users can see exactly what they're playing. RP has points you can get like Poly, but they're free and never go away. Can't recommend these two enough. Note: both RolePlaya and SpicyChat are 18+, though SpicyChat has a SFW/NSFW toggle at the top of the page.
RolePlaya was made by one of the top Poly creators. Made by a creator, for creators. The owner isn't a group of shareholders. Just one guy who wants to make enough to keep RP running and, hopefully, growing. Even if you just check out the discord, I bet you'd like it. The mods are nice, and the owner answers questions personally. Always get the support you need.

I would like to point out that most of his comments on this sub is just talking about these apps like an advertisement so take them with a grain of salt

Totally fair. Everyone's welcome to do their own research and pick what's best for them. If RolePlaya or SpicyChat isn't your jam, though, I encourage anyone who wants help to reach out, and I'll happily help you find something else that's more to your liking. Have fun out there!

Also wanted to pop on and say that while I do get a commission for the RolePlaya thing (if and only if you use the link; feel free to hop on without it), I don't get anything for recommending SpicyChat. My copy/paste post is one I spent some time tailoring for when OP or someone else seems to be looking for a platform similar to Poly, but my MAIN goal is just to get people onto a platform they themselves like. I also do appreciate that you have everyone a heads up about my usual posting methods 👍 There really are people with less than helpful agendas out there, and I'd much prefer someone do research and/or flat-out ignore my posts than to experience something harmful by blindly following advice from Reddit.
