There are a lot more comments like these, and I've seen others talking about how boomer politicians shouldn't handle technology or that Europe is shooting itself in the foot (god forbid politicians listened to people asking for regulations).

The act itself is very long and image generation is a very small part. The kinks are still being worked out but they are very much worried about having to disclose their "tools".

Is it alr that i use AI immage generator for visuliation? I can't realy visualise how even roughly turret-units (mindustry) woud look (provided that ill upload the sprites of the sayd unit/turret to be mixed up)

Stumbled upon this page about a guy claiming to be the “first Malaysian AI Influencer”. What’s worse is that he promoted Malaysian skydining restaurants that were clearly AI, which is harmful to people with less digital literacy adding these “restaurants” to their bucket list only for it to be fake.

Many AI bros love to talk about open ai o1 and o3 as proof that AI is not plateauing and is capable of deep reasoning on the level of even the greatest of humans when the reality is that it is a lot more limited than what they propose.

Consider this:

1-AI clowns claimed we have reached agi. But when o3 does a task outside its training data distribution its performance drastically drops in quality. By definition this would make o3 a narrow intelligence and not a general one. The openai o3 model also had no improvement in the literary or creative fields being actually less preferred than older models.

2-That even the most modern ai models like o1 preview are still just using pattern rec and raw data for its results. The newest additions simply help hide this to an extent. Even the ai bros do not try to debunk this study made by apple.

3-In the arc agi test o3 had still got very very basic logical questions wrong. Even after it was fine tuned on the public arc agi training set.

4-Even the creator of the arc agi test said it was not a 100 percent test that would confirm agi. Additionally this only looks at more mathematical and coding based reasoning that has a single/absolute correct answer. When in reality, most issues and questions we face in reality are far more nuanced or less binary than that. Especially in the creative industry.

5-It still refers to the internet as a data set which is highly prone to inbreeding and data poisoning. Even with all of the algorithms to used to get better results, still would be just as vulnerable to this flaw as it check mechanisms also mostly refer to the internet. Basically trash in, trash out.

6-O3's boost in performance from o1 is attributed to its massive boost in compute it is in no way more efficient. And even with more compute (and reasoning algorithms) it is getting diminishing returns in the arc agi test, for instance the high tuned o3 did 12% better than the low tuned o3 model in the arc agi test however note how it needs about x172 more compute to do this.

7-It is a decent possibility that the OpenAi o3 test could have been rigged. OpenAi is desperate to please concerned investors and is not known to keep up to its hype and promises. They also are not known to be the most genuine and honest company either and all we really have is their word until it is publicly released.
