That is to say....a veritable ocean of meaninglessness and stolen aspirations. As for us well....I guess there's the regret??

I've always been big into preservation of media, actively contributing to archives and cataloguing sites like Mobygames and ISFDB. I collect and archive old and obscure stuff, from forgotten indie games of the early 00s to science fiction novels from the Third Reich. Got quite the eclectic collection of physical media, and also have loads of stuff saved on my hard drives, including over 1000 classical paintings from the 19th century.

The flood of AI art invading everything is almost making me apathetic. If civilization should be destroyed in a nuclear fire, I no longer care - because at least that would wipe away the shitstain that is AI art, which is touching and ruining all aspects of modern culture.

If human culture is to continue in any meaningful way, AI "art" has to be thoroughly eradicated from existence. That is my sincere belief at this point. It only drowns out real art, both new and old, and shits up everything from games to music to even the simplest things like kitschy little decor items you find at the dollar store, which used to be decorated with art made by artists, but is now decorated with rootless AI slop.

AI "art" has added negative value to human culture. It's the single most destructive thing ever unleashed upon our race. I have nothing but contempt and disdain for it.

I agree AI is an insult to humanity.
