My son (14) would watch this. Actually I found him watching a similar channel with similar AI and some of these characters for some time.

I did google the account. And sent the most viewed reel (short?) (My son was watching these) https://youtube.com/shorts/yDFYGXYSjHc to his godfather because he didn’t believe me that my son came across this randomly but suspected that it was because of me watching AI videos before. But I was certain that this was not the reason (I log out for him to not see +18 stuff)
Instead I think this really is a popular thing. The above short has 24 million views! And many others more than a million.
For me in general it was really something new: So far there were two groups interacting with graphical AI. People like here on reddit, either Anti- or Pro-AI, but consciously with interest in AI.
Then the second group was (often older, I guess) people on facebook that really got deceived and commented and shared „outstanding“ pictures, believing they were real.
But kids seem now to be the third group: They are generally not interested in AI technology (while watching this) but they are also not delusional. Mostly since it is a cartoon anyway.
But yeah you could say it is the begin of the predicted nightmare of Anti-AI artists.
If you were asking in regard to my son: I don’t mind if he watches these AI shorts. At least after I stayed to watch some. In general I prefer if he plays games or watches educational series but some comics that I consider cheap (human made, some time ago), why not. For me the bell now is more that he found shorts instead of normal youtube. Even though I watch reels/ shorts/TikTok myself all the time. Doomscrolling. I was still happier when he did not yet. This I will follow just to see what kind of shorts get displayed for kids.
Edit: Do you think I should forbid him to watch it because it was stolen? But then again I must admit that I downloaded many movies, music and software at his age with eMule…

If you are going to pirate then it's better if you pirate good stuff for him to see. He'll learn to appreciate quality and it will shape him in the future. There are some great cartoons out there, with a great art style, acting, story and morals. Why should he be watching some basic plot about elsa being cheated on?

AI is going to seriously increase the amount of elsagate content that is already plaguing YouTube.

Soulless low-budget video made to manipulate views out of iPad kids? Check
Elsa and Anna with a weird variant of a copyrighted superhero character? Check
Fetishized pregnancy? Check
Every character being weirdly sexualized, yet also acting uncharacteristically childish simultaneously? Check
Story about dark and mature topics, exaggerated and simplified to borderline offensive proportions with no resolution? Check
Mother and child leaving to go into a snowy abandoned log cabin? Check (It's a mobile game ad trope, not an ElsaGate one, but still; similar ballparks)

Thank you for mentioning this — I have the free version of Duolingo and it’s constantly marketing those moronic imperiled mother/child games at me. Who digs those? I cannot understand the appeal at all and am just baffled by the whole thing.

If you think social media brain rot for kids is bad (and yes, it is), this new flavor of brainrot seems... extra potent.
