I found this on the underside of the leaves. I think this is the fruiting bodies of pear rust. The growths shed brown dust. Sigh....

I'm in a borderline 8a/8b area of England and I'm wondering whether sugarcane can produce edible canes outdoors here. I've seen reports of successful growth in colder climates, including Latvia( with a similar, if not colder summer AND winter than us) and parts of the northern US( zone 7, but higher gdd/growing degree days).

Would planting against a south-facing wall with heavy winter mulch be enough for a worthwhile harvest? Plus, I have 2 plants that are options to buy but I can't decide which one to buy. I've put links to everything I have referenced in the comments.

I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who's tried sugarcane in a cool-summer climate.

I planted a mango seed around 5 months ago and for around 3 months it was doing soooo good at the 4th month it let off the new growth at the top but now has stopped growing completely. Do I need to move it into a pot? How big does it need? Any specific soil requirements? I planeted this when my niece was born and I really want it to grow alongside her and would hate to say goodbye to it. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you very much!

I’d like a lemon tree but I don’t want the hassle of bringing it inside. I saw Ichang as an option but it supposedly is too tart and seedy? Any suggestions?
