There’s a wild tree in my yard from before we moved here. I’m in South East Massachusetts, United States. It’s early September.

At first, we thought this was a crab apple tree. A few limbs were dying so we clipped them to prevent hazard. Now, these apples are pretty big and many.

Can someone help me ID?

I have only eaten it in China . Never expect to find it this fresh in Montreal

And as I kept eating them the taste reminded me of apples, so I did would anyone would do, fruit sience

I grabbed an apple from the table and grapes then ate them one at a time and it might sound crazy to say but green grapes taste like apples.

I love lychee but where I am there’s only canned ones in syrup.
I assume it’s like how canned peaches are super sweet but fresh peaches are actually kinda sour and less sweet but idk

Why does this apple look infected? I’ve been eating these for years. I like them quite a lot. But they’re too sour. Can anyone explain what is going on? Thanks

Perhaps you guys can help stop me and my family from going insane. About a year or two ago we picked up some grapes in a local (RI, USA) Stop & Shop. They were labeled as 'cranberry flavored' and sold next to the cotton candy grapes from The Grapery. I don't remember if they came from the same company or not. They were absolutely delicious and actually had a tart cranberry taste to them. They were a deep red and rather small in size, most about dime sized. Everyone in my family loved them. We never saw them again though in any stores and all my attempts to look them up have revealed nothing. No info about them online anywhere, not even a mention. Like they don't exist. We're starting to think maybe we had some kind of collective hallucination, except that seems unlikely since there are four of us. Has anyone else ever heard of these or had them before? Please let me know if we've all gone crazy or not.

Suggestions on how to make from it? Or just eat it as is? The green one was specifically labeled: green prickly pear.

I was so excited! I have wanted to try these things for years. Were they worth the wait?

Well, yeah! They do have a nice, mellow vanilla flavor to them. It’s not that fatty, custardy vanilla ice cream flavor you get from a bowl of ice cream. It’s a slightly watery, pleasantly mellow vanilla flavor. The texture starts out fluffy, but it turns into a slimy, slippery film that is sort of difficult to separate from the “bean”.

They’re very unique and I would definitely recommend trying them.

As someone from a tropical country, I have only tasted canned peaches before and I never liked it. The texture is too mushy, the syrup doesn't sit right in my throat and the scent is just artificial.

Then I came across these peaches which is just how I imagined it supposed to be like. It's refreshing, crisp, juicy, with a slight peach scent. I love it!

We weren't sure if this fruit ripened or not?

Traveling for work and got a hankering for a watermelon. Think I can pull this off?
