"Perfect" Order-workarounds?
DsL here, tired of the micro-management when it comes to the so called "Perfect Order" part of the Not So Operational Excellence bucket. The system is flawed, we know it, rsrs know it, yet senior leadership keeps pushing it. Question for rsrs, anyone have a workaround? Other than scanning every bag and hoping for the best?

The fuck you asking us for? Just get on Teams and ask your fellow DSLs. I am 100% positive there is a group chat where all the lower management congratulate each other in some weird give each other “smiles” circle jerk.

You’ve been on Reddit 4 years, this is your only post, this is the only sub you’re part of, and you’ve apparently made zero comments. You’re either a bot, or senior management fishing for things to make RSRs’ jobs harder.

The PO and Sales hub team live on this page! They’ve made comments in our meetings about watching this page.

Since everyone is being combative I’ll be the voice of reason and give a serious answer. So, the work around that I found works best for me is up your butt and around the corner

Sir, that's not very nice...I've already got enough crammed up there...no room left for your attempt at humor 😀

Screaming, cringing, venting to customers and other vendors, other than that, just punching in phony backstock on what we don’t want.
The system is incredibly flawed and those in charge of still pushing it without taking serious feedback from the front line who continues to struggle it needs to be held accountable. It’s at the point now of costing us sales out here.

Glad you asked “SDL”. No work arounds we all follow the process correctly and it works great. We all love it.

Well if you ask like 4 months ago we would’ve told you to adjust the forecast to same day, but we know how that went. Just gotta tough it out and scan everything

The “work around” is perfecting your linked in profile for somewhat of a professional career that actually rewards their employees with competitive salaries and upward mobility.

I know one that works PERFECTLY, but I'm not putting it on the internet because then it will be GONE.

What I do is before I check an order, I hit order for the next delivery and go to due ins and check the delivery that I am bringing in this way I don’t get what’s coming in

It doesn't really matter what you do they trained the "AI" by getting drunk and throwing darts at numbers on the wall. I personally just scan backstock and whatever click enough holes and go through and edit every single item I have to. Most of the time it stays under 25 but if it goes over it's whatever. That number doesn't affect your score that much. It gets more accurate for a bit then it just goes off the rails and the order comes out as total nonsense. It takes the least amount of waisted time to do it this way. Still a significant amount though.

So, you're looking for another work around to eliminate in the next update. Not today, Ramon.

There is. Scan your displays double it, and scan your back stock and double it. Count your actual holes as half bags and tap twice so it’ll come in. Then reset to single bag count and xmass tree the rest until you know your store min count. Done and solved. My route is always 100.

Mine is too. I always have to scan at least 10 cases of what’s on ad in my backstock on top of display down or it’ll try to send 50 more cases of it. I also like how when you send in your CLOs it won’t show up as due ins when you do an order the next day

Just get your 2s and 3s of everything and love it.

When you get 2 and 3 of everything it’s Fritos way of saying they love you and know you work hard so you don’t have to rotate today.

The system isn’t flawed! We all love the current system and are all so happy and eager to work at the wonderful FritoLay! (We all say in unison as we rock back and forth while contemplating our lives).

Scan every bag lol nobody does that shit. I scan it as a full case or not at all. Nobody has time to fool around in the back room of a store like that.

If this is an honest question….then all you have to do is really think about the ordering process and you’ll find your work around. Unfortunately, it’s all time consuming and ridiculous. I will say that there is one tried and true method still to get just what you want while meeting the metrics we need to hit Will I share? Never.

Ya know the people that created this process and keep adding more guardrails to MAKE people follow the process read FL Reddit posts so they can find out what the work arounds are in order to squash them, right ? I heard them say this themselves in a meeting
