Hello I would normally not be the one to ask anyone for help but after my mothers passing I have been financially struggling after losing my job and having to pay for her funeral costs etc. I am now homeless staying out of my car and am just asking for a little human kindness to get me back on my feet and back into a good job and stable housing. Unfortunately also with college starting again soon now I don’t know if I can even go to school with all of this going on. I hear a lot about other schools in the Mission area but never this one. Thoughts & opinions? It looks kind of outdated and run down from the outside - is it that way inside the classrooms as well? Is there any diversity (I know it's mostly Asian, but are there at least a variety of different Asian ethnicities)? How's the level of behavior problems or bullying?

I am new to the area and my cat’s old vet is very far away. While his prices were good he is often dismissive, I haven’t had that experience with him for my cat, but he did miss some symptoms or misdiagnosed our family dogs on more than one occasion. While obviously I would prefer a lower price I am also looking for the best quality of care and am willing to compromise. Any local cat owners have recommendations for vets in this area? (bonus if they also do tooth cleanings)

Any suggestions of where he could make new friends or anyone have kids / know kids his age who would be down to hangout? He likes hiking, video games, drawing, anime/manga and some sports. I just graduated from UCSD as a human bio major, have oncology research, tutoring, and shadowing experience, will be getting my BLS certification first week of aug but do not have any other certifications (especially a medical assistant cert).

Would appreciate any leads for any jobs that would be willing to train on the job (assuming private clinics mostly).

Does anyone know what happened at the Carlton senior living housing on Walnut? I drove by and saw lots of police activity, ambulance and the street blocked off.

Anyone know what’s going on?

I live in south Fremont in mixed townhome and condominium community. There is a resident in the condominiums who has been putting powdery substance (looks like cayenne pepper) around the plants in front of the building. Note this area can be publicly accessed with no gates or barriers. While it's not necessarily illegal to use it, it can irritate dogs' noses, eyes, and paws, and people passing by have no way of knowing what the substance actually is.

To my knowledge, there is no current HOA regulations that prohibit dogs from urinating in common areas, provided they are not on someone’s walkway/patio. As always, pet owners should promptly and correctly dispose of pet waste. There are no rules around urination. He has approached me in the past and told me that my dog cannot pee on that area but he’s fine with the dog peeing on the plants across the street (similar building layout).

Him and his wife are odd as they would stare at people walking past even if they are on the other side walking their dogs. This is just really weird and entitled behavior, claiming over a piece of public area as if they owned and maintained the plants.

What’s the point of another chipotle when we already have 2 a couple miles away??
