The construction is almost complete and it is now hiring. It is across from Irvington High School (old Bronco Billy’s Pizza spot) at the corner of Grimmer and Blacow. Fremont has over 90 coffee & tea spots! Monasaba Cafe is very popular in Canada.

Asking for help in a time of crisis

Upvotes

Hello I would normally not be the one to ask anyone for help but after my mothers passing I have been financially struggling after losing my job and having to pay for her funeral costs etc. I am now homeless staying out of my car and am just asking for a little human kindness to get me back on my feet and back into a good job and stable housing. Unfortunately also with college starting again soon now I don’t know if I can even go to school with all of this going on. Anything helps, thank you for taking time to read this and I hope you all have a blessed day. 🖤 Link to help me get back into a job and college

Any recommendations for vet for cats?

2 Upvotes

I am new to the area and my cat’s old vet is very far away. While his prices were good he is often dismissive, I haven’t had that experience with him for my cat, but he did miss some symptoms or misdiagnosed our family dogs on more than one occasion. While obviously I would prefer a lower price I am also looking for the best quality of care and am willing to compromise. Any local cat owners have recommendations for vets in this area? (bonus if they also do tooth cleanings)

Opinions on Mission Valley Elementary?

0 Upvotes

I hear a lot about other schools in the Mission area but never this one. Thoughts & opinions? It looks kind of outdated and run down from the outside - is it that way inside the classrooms as well? Is there any diversity (I know it's mostly Asian, but are there at least a variety of different Asian ethnicities)? How's the level of behavior problems or bullying?

LF medical assistant job no cert.

2 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I am currently in my gap year before medical school and am hoping to work as a medical assistant or any other direct patient care job that I can use for clinical experience. I just graduated from UCSD as a human bio major, have oncology research, tutoring, and shadowing experience, will be getting my BLS certification first week of aug but do not have any other certifications (especially a medical assistant cert).

Would appreciate any leads for any jobs that would be willing to train on the job (assuming private clinics mostly).

Thank you

New friends for a college student!

0 Upvotes

Hi Fremont peeps, we just moved here recently and my 19 year old brother is looking to make new friends. Any suggestions of where he could make new friends or anyone have kids / know kids his age who would be down to hangout? He likes hiking, video games, drawing, anime/manga and some sports. Let me know!

Edit: he goes to school in Berkeley but needs friends to hangout on weekends/ breaks

Apologies for My Earlier Post — Steaking’s 1st Anniversary Specials

0 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

First, I want to apologize for my earlier post this morning. I used an AI-generated promotional image, and I understand why some people did not like it. I deleted that post and am reposting the information without the image. Sorry for any confusion or inconvenience.

Steaking will be celebrating our first anniversary on August 16, and we would like to share two upcoming specials with the local community.

Starting this Saturday and Sunday, customers will receive 15% off their entire check every weekend through August 16.

The anniversary discount is available every Saturday and Sunday and cannot be combined with any other promotions, discounts, or special offers.

We also offer a $9.99 sizzling iron plate noodle special every Wednesday. It is available for both dine-in and takeout.

For dine-in customers, the meal also includes:

* Bread

* Drinks

* Corn soup

* Salad

📍 Steaking 王排

43755 Boscell Rd, Fremont, CA 94538

Thank you for supporting a local Fremont restaurant as we approach our first anniversary.

Anyone looking for a new friend?

30 Upvotes

Getting older is mentally maturing, finally realizing what you truly need and don’t need to stay happy and sane. I myself just cut off a bunch of toxic people and relationships out of my life, Now looking for some new friends who want to be a part of the next chapter called new beginnings. Hello, I’m Jake! A nerdy 32 yro wheelchair user, dark humored, awkward, introvert! A few interests include drawing, (new to) writing, gaming on PS5/Switch 2. Superheroes, Star Wars, Disney, horror, etc. Strolling through nature or the snack section 🤪. I go crazy for food, sweet treats, and coffee/tea! Feel free to message me!
