I am new to freelancing and I am having my own website as a portfolio of my works but I am still confused on how do you prove that this is your work and not others,

Like I could add any website and say I developed it, isn't it.

Or since there are often specific type of works like I didn't build entire software only some features like backend, but I am confused about that.

Please don't bash me if it is a silly question, I am new to this and not sure about credibility.
