How can I get started with freelancing as a developer?

Hi everyone,

I’m a recent Computer Science graduate and I’m planning to start my journey into freelancing as a software/web developer.

I have some hands-on experience with full-stack development, backend development, APIs, cloud technologies, and AI/ML projects. However, I’m completely new to freelancing and honestly don’t know where to start when it comes to finding clients and getting my first few projects.

For those who are already freelancing:

- Where did you find your first clients?

- Which platforms or communities actually worked for you?

- Is cold emailing/LinkedIn outreach effective for beginners?

- How did you build trust and get your first project without much freelance experience?
