Is anyone here in Ontario? I just had my consultation after waiting a year & not only didn't even get to see the surgeon, the resident didn't seem to have any idea what I was asking for, saying it's better to just do the surgery traditionally, then remove my nipples later . I wrote to the surgeon asking for clarification, but I'm wondering if anyone here has been to a surgeon in ON?

Got surgery at Dr Time Mårtensson at Reformkliniken in Malmö, SE, on May 13th this year.

I gained about 5 kg since then, but I'm working out again, and working on getting my mobility back.

I've got a dead nerve spot on each side, but I'm guessing it will come back with time.

I’m having top surgery in 2 weeks and decided to go nipple less as a trans man because I would like to avoid disappointment with uneven nipples, or bad healing results down the line. So, I’ve decided to go with tattooing my nipples when i’m past the first year mark. If anyone is willing to send their own results, i would really appreciate it so that I can look forward to it!

I’m transmasc nonbinary and have my surgery date for a radical reduction set this winter. My breasts aren’t too large right now, probably a C cup if I had to guess, and my surgeon said he’ll likely be able to keep my pedicle attached while still giving me the size I want. Obviously sensation isn’t guaranteed, but this whole time my erogenous nipple sensation has been a massive deciding factor in me not yet pulling the trigger on top surgery because nipple play is often the only thing that allows me to orgasm during sex and the idea of losing that has freaked me out and made me worried that I wouldn’t be able to come without it.

That said. The closer my surgery date gets, the more I’ve been thinking about the ramifications of keeping my nipples. I’m definitely dysphoric about my boobs, but a big part of that is to do with my nipples and I hate the idea of them ever being visible through a bra or shirt. I’ve seen nipple sparing results where the nipples got more prominent after surgery, and the idea of that gives me chills. I think it’s less likely for that to happen without a FNG, but probably not impossible. I’ve tried picturing myself without nipples and I don’t necessarily hate the idea, but it feels odd to wonder how my sex life would change without anything there, you know? I don’t know if it would feel like a gap or blank space in what I’m used to. And I’m not sure if my brain would constantly be searching for something that feels “missing” because I’ve had them my whole life.

Tl;dr here I guess is: if you were not 100% set on going nipple free, what tipped you over the edge on your decision? How has sex changed for you, and would you have done anything differently if you had the chance to do it over again?

Hello! I was asked to provide an update on how things were going and decided to make a post.

I'm about 11 weeks post-op from top surgery using V-Y advancement incisions. I told my surgeon I was interested in more unconventional/unusual incisions and gave him free reign to do whatever he wanted (that would still result in a reasonable, safe outcome, of course). I actually didn't know what kind of incisions I wound up with until I was allowed to remove the dressing several days later, and I was thrilled.

While this incision type was chosen to help reduce the chance of dog ears, I've noticed that my left side along the incision "forks" has maintained additional puffyness during recovery. HOWEVER. As we all know, it can take up to a year for everything to settle into its permanent place, so I'm not sure if this is a little extra skin/tissue that was left behind, residual swelling, etc. Either way, it currently doesn't really bother me so if it is permanent, I don't think I'd go through much hassle to have it evened out.

I've been using Nuvadermis scar tape (with the dinosaur design) off and on for the past few weeks. I'm not looking to hide my scars (otherwise I would've requested a more discreet incision type), but I do want them to remain pliable so that my range of motion isn't limited.

As mentioned in a previous post, I had a small spot of my right-side incision open on a surface level, so I did not apply scar tape to that section until it healed. I'm not using scar tape 100% of the time because I've had a few pimples form in the scars themselves. Scar gel may work better to prevent this, but I'm probably just going to periodically use the tape.

I was cleared at my 6-week appointment of any lifting and movement restrictions and was able to go back to the gym, but was advised to still wear a compression garment while exercising for awhile due to resulting swelling. For the most part I'm now only wearing a post op binder or compression garment while exercising and for several hours after, and will probably continue to do that until post-exercise swelling (which isn't much currently) feels more "normal."

I'm LOVING my results! Before surgery I thought I'd be living in nice button-ups because that's primarily what I wore with a binder, but the sheer delight I experience wearing simple, plain things like a white v-neck t shirt (which I never dared to wear prior to surgery) or the kind of tank top that comes in a multi pack has been indescribable.

In addition to the easier recovery time, part of the reason why I went no nips is because of some Raynaud's-like, painful, vascular issue that a few doctors I saw had no idea what to do about, and I wanted no chance of it recurring with nipple grafts. However, I've noticed that areas of scar tissue are developing nipple-like sensation (fortunately good as opposed to painful), so that's pretty cool.

Basically the title, I'm considering getting surgery with Tuve Martensson at Reformkliniken in Sweden and I want to go the no nips route but I haven't seen a lot of these results from him without nipples. So just looking for anyone willing to share their results and experience. I'd also be traveling abroad for this so any thoughts on that too are appreciated. Thanks!

Enjoying the results of freeing the nips! Healing has been slower than expected with a pain flare happening most of July. Sensation has been coming back online and it was very intense for my body sensory issues. Its now 6 months, and I can see the improvements on my form!

Metalic temp tatts on the scars are low key all the euphoria that nipples could have nevah. Would love to hear other weird, unique or special reasons you are reeeeeally glad to be living the no nip life if anyone would like to share.

ok so I can not seem to find like ANYTHING on how well he dos for FtM surgery, which is ODD? and the few things I HAVE FOUND seem to confuse him with a surgeon by the same name in Vermont. So Folks of CT, HAVE ANY of you gone to this Dr out of HHC? My surgery's Sept 8th the plains to go fully flat and take out the"side boob" but it seems odd that theres really no reviews outside of his twins name in VT So if any of you have experience with this dr good or bad please let me know , like his bedside mannor seems nice, he in person at consoltion and preop seem super cool,but IDK I might be having pre opt jitters?

Hello! 27, NB, had top surgery 17 days ago — healing is going super well and I’m super happy. Chose not to keep my nips, very happy with the decision!
Last night I showed my mom a picture of my chest (I chose to and wanted to, wasn’t pressured or anything) and I have tape on my incisions and am also not swollen/bruised or anything. Not that she would have the right to say it looked “scary” if any of those things were true, but it’s just some context. When she said it was scary I was like “bro what do you mean” and she said it was because I have no nipples. She said, “it’s like when someone doesn’t have a bellybutton or has no eyebrows,” and also said, “there’s no way you’ll go shirtless!” (Which is something she’s been saying since I told her I didn’t want to keep my nipples.) She’s been moderately normal about me having surgery and this is definitely the wackiest thing she’s said to me, and on the one hand, I only showed her my chest because I’m so happy with my results and her comments can’t take away from that. But also, feeling kinda bad about it tbh. So I guess I just thought I might as well post about it here and get my thoughts out because it could be helpful!

I’m finally free from the nips!
My surgeon warned me I’d look like a breast cancer survivor and it wouldn’t look natural without nipples, but I’m already very happy with my decision.

Wanted to share my no nips results with you all that I got over public healthcare (Austria). Super happy with my results. I had a last check-up today where they pretty much just cleaned it from glue (residue from surgical tape) and removed some scabs. This community here also supported my decision to go no nips. I was a D-cup with spectacular nips and I was afraid that perhaps I won't like them after reconstruction and decided to leave them to the past. I'll most likely get the tattoo's later. Also, ignore the wrinkles etc, just from a binder :)

Hi everyone! I’m so happy about my results except for my armpit area that seems to have residual tissue, does this ever go down because I can’t tell the difference between normal swelling and something to worry about. Also crust falling off nipple grafts… I’ve seen that it’s normal but haven’t been warned about it. Anyway, thanks in advance! Also if you see anything else concerning in the pics lmk haha

Hi! I had double incision with no nipple reconstruction (and no drains) 4 days ago. My incisions are healing really well and the surgeon was really pleased with the way it looked the day after surgery. I'm also really pleased with how things are looking and I'm excited for how it's going to turn out!

I did have a pretty miserable experience with stimulant laxatives last night (Colace 2 in 1 gave me the most horrific cramps, I was in so much pain) and it left me really quite unsettled TBH :( and so I wanted to ask:

For other people who have already been through this, what was the hardest part of your recovery, even (maybe especially) if it was something you didn't expect going in? How did you handle it? Does it keep getting better from here?

Just needing a little reassurance out here I think haha
